Literally, yes. I think this question is funny because it rhymes with my question. If "shitty" is a colloquialism for "undesirable", then yes, it can be. However, snow is an inconvenience only if you have somewhere to be. If you're in a rush to make it to work, curse snow forever. If you don't have a place to be, or if you're in High School and you want school to be cancelled so you can sleep in another 5 hours, snow provides good atmosphere for looking out the window. True, even then, snow is often customarily conjoined with connotations of "cold", and cold costs you if you want to heat your home. I say turn the heat down, put on a sweater or two, and quit complaining. |

WORD! It so happens I learned skiing in Feb '96, and we'd wake up everyday to the mighty sound of the Cult Of Ray and sing Men In Black at the top of our lungs all day long while skiing. COR is the ultimate soundtrack to ski. I'm so glad you noticed it too.

I love snow - I was just out shoveling and it's beautiful, especially when the trees are covered in a light sprinkling or hoar frost. Plus, it's only -7 so I could do it in a t-shirt, beautiful!

It never seemed to for me. I'm not talking about HARD cider, y'know. Just plain old apple cider, but hot. I've always liked it, but I realize that my taste in drinks is different from that of the rest of the world. I drink pretty much exclusively sweet, fruit-flavored stuff. Well, aside from water, and I usually only drink that when there's no better alternative.

That's an ugly myth, Carl. There's lots of sunny-day skiing to be had, sometimes in just a long-sleeved T. Nighttime skiing can get cold but not always.

All this ski talk is making me sad, had to for go my Vail trip this year. I do see Mammoth on the horizon however.

Sounds like somebody needs a nice day on the slopes -- smoking a fat one on the chairlift before happily hurling himself down the poweder-covered mountainside, and after a few happy hours in the sunshine sipping hot cocoa and rubbing his liberated feet by the lodge fire.
