I just joined and thought I might as well introduce myself. I'm a 16 year old girl from Australia and I got into the Pixies about 2 months ago and then bought all their albums within a month. They are so bloody awesome!!! but I probably didn't need to tell you guys that. I managed to convert about 3 people to the Pixies so far and am really hoping they tour Australia.

I also love Faith No More, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine and Mr Bungle and play the electric guitar... poorly.. hopefully I'll get to do a Pixies cover at our school rock concert thingy:P

I wasn't too blown over by it when I lived in Oz for a year, but it seemed nice enough, if a little quiet. I'd say Melbourne was my favourite city, with Byron Bay being my favourite place of all.

I love all Aussies so welcome.

That's a shame. The Scarecrow is a big fan.

Wilcommen, ein Lieb fur du ,Liebe, von Iggy Pop!

Now forget about silly music and bienvenue dans la cour des Grands!

Sweet 16 in leather boots
Body and soul, I go crazy
Baby, baby I?m a hungry, sweet 16
Funky bar all full of faces
Pretty faces, beautiful faces
Body and soul, body and soul
I give to you
I am an easy mark with my broken heart
Sweet 16
Show you my explosion, sweet 16
Go out to the funky bar
I get hurt, crying inside
?cause everybody?s so fine
And they don?t need me.
Tell me what can I do, sweet 16
I give you my body and soul sweet 16
I must be hungry ?cause I go crazy
Over your leather boots
Now baby I know...
That?s not normal
But I love you, I love you
I love you, sweet 16
(everywhere I go, I love it!!)

Hi ramspam. I must admit, I was suspicious of your name. But you seem like a genuine person. So, er, welcome!

Hey, if that doesn't work out for you, how about weeding a 38 year old guy's (that doesn't get laid much these days) vegetable garden?

Yeah and they probably wouldn't be stupid enough to write spam in their name... I'm not sure what song we'd do but maybe debaser but the main problem is my friend who sings voice is supposedly deep for Frank Black vocals and I'm a completely crap singer. Debaser would be pretty cool and even more so because some people are doing smells like teen spirit.

Thanks for the welcome its always nice to be welcomed by people thinking you're a phoney

I smell a rat, but that's because I'm posting from a pet store.

And call me crazy, but wouldn't a real spammer have advertised something by now?

Well, good luck with that!

I've mastered that song using only my kazoo, a dog's squeaky chew toy and a whoopee cushion. I've been playing it downtown trying to make some extra cash to pay for my high speed internet.

I covered 'Where is my Mind?' at a school concert thingy last year with two friends. We had no singer and no bassist. It sounded awful.

Then when we finished we saw this guy in the front row who looked just like Frank Black!
To our disapointment, it turned out to be some girls dad. Oh well, it's probably for the best that Frank didn't hear us ruin his song...

Welcome ramspam, if you turn out to be an evil spammer we'll point fingers and possibly do unspeakable things to you, but until then, enjoy!

What song would you cover at your school thing?
ramspam Posted - 12/30/2005 : 03:13:30
Yeah I should have mentioned I've got Teenager of the Year which is awesome! Frank Black is a genius!

AHHH I have spam in my name because I love the Monty Python spam sketch and it rhymes with my initials ram nicely. I use it for everything but my email, hotmail has something against having spam in your name

Yeah, even Frank Black was one once.

I don't know either, maybe it has something to do with you having "spam" in your handle?

(Thanks for the edit.)

I'll be in Australia soon. I'll ask around to see if people there
actually know someone named Ramspam.

Don't mention it. If it can help you feel better...

PS: Ramspam, can you please edit your third post and delete that awful
super-long link that stretches the page? Thanks.

Yeah, our kids are really, really stupid over here.

ramspam Posted - 12/29/2005 : 21:30:36
you should come to Australia then or New Zealand. Oh and to answer your earlier question I don't know if anyone's ever choked on them but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. Kinder Suprises which are similar to Yowies only german i think are banned in the US because of the choking hazard.

Really? I usually have heightened senses for the forum phonies. Ramspam, are you actually like some 38 year old loser dude that screws with people on forums for fun?

Wait a minute... That's me.
