Posted - 12/26/2005 : 04:43:55 Hey guys, happy holidays.
I just got a Mac for Xmas, and iBook to be exact, and need some help with what programs work on it. I've been attempting to download some and have been surprised at how much stuff only works on windows
I'm looking for.. the best free Mac multimedia player..I've got Realplayer and Quicktime so I think I might be set here, but I have tried to watch a few clips on the internet that don't work for me because I don't have the right media player.
The best free spyware remover...
The best P2P network. Soulseek doesn't seem to work, but I also need one for videos so I can download the Simpsons I miss at work every week along with miscelleneous other band clips ect. Don't worry, I've already spent my hardearned cash on all the FB albums and Pixies DVDs. Do Emule of Limewire work for a Mac, and are they safe from spyware?
Also, any other advice to keeping my ibook in good condition/programs to try out is much appreciated! thanks in advance. |

Spyware doesn't exist on Macs, and neither do viruses, go figure... All virus protection programs do for the Mac is remove PC viruses from files so you don't accidentally relay one to a friend!

Here's a good place to look for Mac OS X software: http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx/
