Posted - 12/09/2005 : 09:43:48 Yesterday evening at Chicago's Midway Airport, a jet landing from Baltimore skidded off the snow-covered runway and onto a heavily trafficked street. A 6 year old child passenger in an automobile struck by the wayward metalbird was the only victim who succumbed. 10 others were injured, treated, and released soon after.
When I read this story, I found a coincidence. Now, I wouldn't say I am a superstitious fellow, however, I find myself repeating patterns when it comes to air travel, as I fly regularly...this pattern is the adding of numbers. I'm not sure if I look for the sum to be '13' or '7' or whatever...nevertheless I do it. See what I found while reading the news story above:
The flight number of the Southwest Boeing 737 jet which slid off the runway on 12/8/2005 was 1248.
In March of 2000, a Southwest jet skidded off the runway of Burbank California airport. It's flight number was 1455.
33 years to the day of yesterday's accident back at Chicago Midway Airport, 45 people perished in a tarmac tragedy.
- 1248 1+2+4+8 = 15
- 1455 1+4+5+5 = 15
- 33/45 3+3+4+5 = 15
Now, it's interesting to note that 15 X 3 = 45...which is the number of casualties 33 years ago. And 33, if you break into the two numbers 3 and 3, and then add them, comes to 6. 6 was the age of the child who died yesterday...at the same airport.
Just thought it was interesting.

No. 13 Baby!
