Does Wumpus have anything to do with the old video game "Hunt the Wumpus"? If so, that's pretty cool.

What Heywood said.

Thank you so much for getting me back onto Disco Volante. Bought it a good few months ago along with a fairly large batch of other cds and never really listened to it much. Am currently rectifying that error.

Thanks Heywood. I will do that.

"Carry Stress in the Jaw"--my fave so far, too. "Incredible" describes it.

I got Disco Volante yesterday and the third song, the one Trevor Dunn wrote, is incredible. Director´s Cut is good, at first I was a little disapointed it wasn´t as choppy and hyperactive as Suspended Animation but it´s growing on me quick. My favourites are Vendetta and Charade.

Delirium Cordia is my fave Fantomas album. Think of it as the ultimate Halloween soundtrack, perfect if your hosting a Haunted House this year!

P.S. which is better, the album with a silvery cover and Amenza al Mundo written on it or the Delirium Cordae one?

I prefer the silvery cover one, but it's all good really - Delirium Cordae is one looooooong track - their "death/sleep" album recorded at the same time as Suspended Animation

I bought (Mr. Bungle's) Disco Volante recently, thanks to this here forum. It's quite amazing, all right.
I also downloaded a live video of them performing The Air Conditioned Nightmare, I like the way Patton embraces music, like the whole man is the instrument, if that makes any sense. I, too, want to keep investigating. So recommend away!

These are my new favourite band, I hadn´t heard anything of Patton apart from listening to Faith No More constantly about ten years ago and a song on a Jewish John Zorn record. I got Directors´ Cut later in the afternoon so thanks for recommending these, guys.

I'm with you on Suspended Animation, but then there's also Pelican - The Fire In Our Throats Will Beckon The Thaw, The Melvins Tribute, Clutch - Robot Hive/Exodus AND Red Sparowes - At The Soundless Dawn and that's just off of the top of my head.

I think Suspended Animation gets my vote. It's a shoe in for the grammy.

yep, used US amazon. If I had waited for the record to be released in the UK I would've had it by now. Much better service through amazon.uk always.

"order shipping soon" though, guess I'll just have to be patient.

Did you go through Amazon, Wilhelm? You could always try throwingmusic.com and order it direct, they're pretty good as far as I know.

Picaresque and Great Destroyer both excellent records. I'm still waiting for 50 ft Wave, been getting these "order delayed" messages for the past two or three months now.
