Posted - 08/31/2005 : 12:18:41 Anybody else addicted to Sodokus? I just found out about them 2 weeks ago (always behind the times) and now I see them in all of the newspapers and big displays at the bookstore.
For me there's a fine line between the ones that are too easy and just take time and ones that are so hard that I have to basically make a guess and see if it works.

Posted - 09/01/2005 : 01:21:39 At work, everybody's addicted to them. I've never played and I don't want to. I love my time of sleep too much.

Posted - 08/31/2005 : 19:35:08 You speak too soon! The Times has one called Killer today where you have to add up boxes. |

Posted - 08/31/2005 : 17:59:48 They aren't really math. The numbers could all be replaced by letters. The rules are that each row has 1 through 9, each column has 1 through 9, and each 3 by 3 box within the 9 by 9 box has 1 through 9. |

Posted - 08/31/2005 : 13:22:37 Yeah, my wife and I got one about a week go that was messed up. We both were doing are own copies one evening (aren't we cute?) and after a long time of being stuck we discovered that we were both stuck at the same exact spot. Ended up the damn thing had more than one solution so there was no way logic was going to give you an answer.
So, we've been downloading puzzles from newspapers (assuming that they produce correct puzzles).
And, I hear you about addictive behavior. Solitiare is a killer. |

Posted - 08/31/2005 : 13:01:57 Nasty little time-wasters.
I heard about them on the radio (BBC World, I think) and I vaguely remember them before they got their Japanese name.
I'm a rather addictive person, I had to remove all games from my computer so I could be productive, this Su Doku is not good for me, I'm trying to limit myself to just the Times.
Here's one I haven't had the patience to complete. I hope I haven't filled in anything wrong (I got it online and I was about half way through when I hit F5 instead of 5). I suspect these are purely computer generated because some of the "Evil" ones are truly not and then some are just stupefying.
