Posted - 08/10/2005 : 08:17:27 Once every blue moon I find myself looking at the NME.com news, wondering how the hell I got there.
Anyway, I saw this, which I though might be of interest to some of you: http://www.nme.com/news/113297.htm
"Indie legend BOB MOULD is to play a one-off show in LONDON showcasing songs from his entire career with a full band for the first time."
(At the Mean Fiddler, the 6th of September if I read this correctly.)
There's also a (funny?) story about The Magic Numbers walking out of TOTP because they thought the host had called them "fat". What would've Frank done?

I'd love to go, but I don't think I can justify the time and expense of a 1000 mile round trip.
Wuss.

I won't listen to any Bob Mould song in the next hour.
I couldn't last that long.

Posted - 08/10/2005 : 08:34:00 I hate Bob Mould since the day he announced his European tour and Paris wasn't in the schedule. In retaliation I won't listen to any Bob Mould song in the next hour.

I read the story about the Magic Numbers. Richard Bacon swears it was a misunderstanding (I think he said they came from a "fat melting pot of talent"), and tried to apologise personally. Seems a bit silly to get hung up on a relatively innocuous comment. Frank wouldn't have cared I think.
