We chatted maybe for the third time or something around the coffee machine about music and I said "Oh, there is a new Frank Black album released, do you know him?"
And he said... "Yes I love Frank Black".
The guy plays in a rock band and is looking for a singer.
"Here I am" I said. We will see what will happen.
He is the kind that sort of gave up in the middle of the Catholics... You know... A big Teenager of the Year nostalgic. I lauded my faithfulness towards all Frank's Album. Underlining how fantastic was Devil's Workshop and, promotion oblige, the latest Honeycomb.

Voilà, just an example of how things are funny sometimes.

Yes , we are planning an audition session.... They play "French rock"... Well, to me French rock sounds like German Flamingo, Or Chinese Polka... But why not... Experience... Trying to be Brel with overdrive...

Isn't Paris half way between Lille and Orléans?
Her boyfriend doesn't care much about her, he moved to another city.

I am sure he's a Francis Cabrel fan.

Perhaps only on weekends?

Her boyfriend just moved to Lille from Orleans, so it doesn't seem likely for now... You'll have to come spend a weekend in Lille and woo her away from here.

I must say that although Frank has written some of his finest songs since Teenager, it definitely stays my fave! Teenager is not only songs put together, there is a true logic to it.

Just remember first time you listened to it: each song was a surprise, sometimes two or three surprises..

The day I bought Honeycomb I went to my wife's workplace. One of her colleagues (young, female, attractive, for those of you lonely uberfans in the North of France) saw it and went, "Hey, Frank Black!" Me, startled: "You like Frank Black?" Her: "Sure, I even saw him live! He's great!"

I tried to figure out if she'd seen the same Catholics show I had, but it turned out she meant the Pixies. Still, there seems to be hope for our youth.

Then, at the same newspaper my wife works for, there's that guy who wrote the excellent Honeycomb review I posted some time ago, the one that said it might be "Mr. Black's own Harvest."

I've only met once a living being who had a FB album.

Now my friends have some of them, but that doesn't count.
