Happy b-day Kathryn...here's a swim set for you!
? x 100's one for each year you are old.
First set of ten, try to maintain a nice even pace. Set an interval you can live with and get no more than 20 seconds rest.
2nd set of ten, take 5 seconds off the interval established above, last 25 of each 100 is fast!
3rd set of ten (I'm guessing you won't complete the whole set, but I have no idea how old you are!) Take 5 more seconds off interval, do last 50 fast.
Keep going (if you have to <grin>) Then, find some kids to help you "run the gauntlet". Have each of them take a kick board and stand in the shallow end on either side of your lane, and push water at you like crazy...as you swim down the "gauntlet"
