This man could have been a fantastic pop character... But there was something that went wrong for him... He had everything: a big Charisma, a musical duality... A very nice and strong voice (you know the Welsch)... But like many of his contemporary fellows, the 80's were very rude with him... and left a taste of unaccomplishment for his career...

Which side of his work did you like most and which album would you praise?

I personnaly was TRAUMATISED with his arrangements and production for NICO's Marble Index, Desertshore and The End...

As a solo album I love "The Academy in Peril" timeless masterpiece of contemporary music.
FEAR is really something.

Oh, hello fellow!

In this POP collection I would add the brilliant and striking "GHOST STORY" and "ENGINE"
Good choices overall.

What is the AI version of Dying on the Vine? (marvellous pathetic song, isn't it?)

STYLE IT TAKES is a classic for me as well....

Hey now..

Music For A New Society is probably my favorite. Seems the most appropriate for Cale. (Sparse, emotional)

It seems John Cale is not very famous...
.... oh, yes, what did I expect from a majority of Nirvana and Radiohead fans?..
