I think he's a bit dry, but certainly witty. I'm halfway psyched.

Corky: It kind of reminds of me the olden days, in Paris, when men use to slap each other with white leather gloves, you know, "Oh, D'Artagnan, how dare you speak to me that way". And Smack Em'.

"Without the play, there is no sesquacentennial. Without the sesquacentennial, there would be no . Without Blaine, there would be no Missouri. And without Missouri, there would be no United States of America. Do you want to do that Corky?"
"The songs are very catchy, perhaps too catchy, some of them i can't seem to get out of my head."

Posted - 07/27/2005 : 07:47:08 Spinal Tap quotes could take up a whole thread...
Nigel Tufnel: "It's like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is: none. None more black."
David St. Hubbins: "It's such a fine line between stupid and clever."
Nigel Tufnel: "You can't really dust for vomit."
Marty DiBergi: "It's such an interesting concept, mixing mime and food."
Ian Faith: "The Boston gig has been cancelled. ... Yeah. I wouldn't worry about it though. It's not a big college town." David St. Hubbins on Nigel Tufnel: "I'm tired of sticking up for his intelligence."

Posted - 07/26/2005 : 10:53:16 This is Spinal Tap is great, and Guest wrote it with Michael McKeon, but remember it was directed by Rob Reiner. I prefer Guest's movies that he has personally directed (Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind). I love when they sometimes almost derail into complete nonsense, if only for a minute or two, as if he's totally lost control. Usually these occur in scenes involving himself. Oh, by the way, is the hotel roof pool in the booklet for DITS the same locale they did the interview in This is Spinal Tap? I've always wondered this.
