Yeah, I never saw a photo. And, thus Dave's paedophiles were drawn to the site by the beautiful woman thread seems overblown. As speedy said it was probably nothing more than a sick (stupid) joke.
We could discuss why it is alright to look at photos of 18 year old woman but looking at16 year old girls is sick and an affront to society, but then I don't want to get caught on the side of defending paedophiles. |

I focused on this aspect because as I stated it was the only justifiable reason that could ring true with everyone and no one could argue against. No one wants to harbour that sort of behaviour on forum. I also wanted people to try to realise it was more than someone taking their pictures away from them. I didn't see how calling Dave a bunch of names was going to move anything along, and it was my opinion that this would only hold it back. It was an attempt at grounding. I also focused on this because for the large part I sided with Dave, not for the reasons he put accross but for his intention. This isn't a popular opinion.
If you mean my reaction in the actual beautiful women thread, I was not the first to point out to Hi-Ksa that his requests were not wanted there, a lot of people did. I was the first to respond after he came back, and enlarged his request, I responded in the same manner he did, to aid the message getting across to him seeing as the big font was something he was comfortable with.
As for offending me? I don't like to be patronised and I feel patronised right now, I accept this may not be your intent but it is the last thing I need after a long day. I don't know why this has been bought up after the event, and puredeni's behaviour on forum, of insulting and starting new threads is why I didn't respond to Renee in this thread and sent her an explanatory e mail with apologies for any misconcieved insult (because it was most definately not directed at her) and we have exchanged several since this and it's all been cool.

Your conversation with puredenizen notwithstanding, I felt like you were leading the "there's a pedophile here!" charge, and I felt it was a bit of an over-reaction. I hate to turn this thread into us arguing about the same old thing, but then this thread isn't really about anything anyway. To my mind, hi-ska was a guy who only posted pictures, and only in one thread. And then for some reason, he made some veiled comment about pictures of young girls which got blown out of proportion. Perhaps english is not his first language (that was the first time I saw him post words and not pics of women), perhaps it was a joke (in poor taste, no question). Unless there was actual pictures of children posted, and I missed it, then to get distressed over that, to me, seems a bit silly. I do beleive a warning, or locking his acount or even banning him is/was certainly a prudent move, however.
You seem to be someone who is very passionate, and I respect that a great deal. Don't get me wrong Tre, I like you, but it seems to me sometimes you shoot off a little bit (not unlike other forum faves like floop, MCA, dave noisy, etc).
Maybe I'm quite sure what I'm trying to say. I'm sorry if I offended, but I had the best of intentions. It appears I'm alone in this vague feeling, so perhaps its best just to ignore me.

Well, speedy, missmaceo (who will confirm this as she pointed it out to me) and I have spoken about this off forum and all comment was directed towards puredenizen in response to his "Why can't you just accept that I am one person?" as for what he did to me, was he called me a 'fucking blowhard' I refered to trolling groups as fucktards.
But really, thank you for bringing this up so long after the event.
Which thread that was deleted incidentally? And what responses, seeing as we're making a point of examining what I have to say for myself on forum.
Also, recovering after the event (I'm assuming you mean beautiful women fiasco) believe or not is what I have been trying to aid the forum with by starting new threads and by a series of e mails to various people behind scenes about moving on from this.

Gosh kitty, perhaps you should reign the emotions in a little bit? Maybe puredenizen is a troll, or a gimmick, or the swimmer or whatever, but if so, how does it affect you? And if he's not, it's probably fairly offensive to call him a fucktard. I for one beleive that MissMaceo is who she says she is, but again, if she's not, it really doesn't affect my life in a seriously negative way. I feel like maybe your extreme reaction to a few things in a certain thread which was deleted contributed to some of the hysteria. I think we're all sort of e-recovering from some serious forum negativity, maybe try to spread some positivity. :)

well, whatever, maybe I am just in a sensitive mood today or whatever, but I really don't care about that part and so i am not mad. I've seen how protective folks can be about their 'cyberenvironment' and I think those mean things were said out of that emotion. I don't think that's a permanent sort of stance, just a reaction, so....*shrug* those pass.

Now I'm just confused and if I were a little more premenstrual, I'd probably feel a little hurt.
I've just come here because I like the topics and the people here like REM and lots of the same stuff I like and it's fun that maybe others have had the same emotional reactions to and enjoyment of the same music I have and I love that anyone here has a great name like 'starmekitten' when most places I've been openly rip REM and The Band and I am confused. If I had a white flag, I'd wave it, I don't want to cause problems and I didn't know I was. :(
I am not another person here and I didn't know you couldn't post boobies and I got carried away looking for pics while smoking a joint and sigh. and I just like to get along with people on a board and the vibe here seems like it could be really cool if it wasn't right now when that thread got deleted and people didn't think I wasn't me or whatever.
