I think animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Posted - 06/29/2005 : 12:59:39 They still write good stuff but their early albums were best. Saw Zoo TV at Dodger Stadium and the prior tour at Cleveland's Municipal (mistake by the lake) Stadium. The Zoo tour was good, the subliminal messages coming off their jumbo-tron were interesting. Do you remember the most controversial one??
can you swing from a good rope? can you Mr. Grieves?,

Posted - 06/29/2005 : 09:59:34 I agree with you Carl, that they are hardly a favourite band that I would make a huge effort to go and see... I also got free tickets and I was looking forward to see the spectacle of the show rather than to hear the actual music, which was worth it - even to see what Croke park would be like as a venue was good enough.... however I thought there was far too much of the political stuff, worthy as it is...

Posted - 06/28/2005 : 16:31:14 I heard there was a great buzz at they're Dublin show on saturday. They played Friday and Monday too. Irish TV station RTE had a U2 night on sat. If I got a free ticket, I'd go to a U2 show. Otherwise, I woul'nt be bothered. And I'd probably end up screaming "Rock star assholes" at the stage, anyway. But I do respect Bono for his worthy campaigning. He does spend a lot of time at it, and does help to focus some attention on poverty around the world. OK, he's rich, but there are a lot of rock stars who would'nt bother. |

Posted - 06/27/2005 : 16:55:07 I saw them at Santiago in 1998, during the Pop Mart tour, the show was excellent as the stage, almost at the end of the show they played Mothers Of The Disappeared in memory of the people who were killed at the Pinochet goverment, that was very exciting for all the people there. They are amazing musicians live, I hope they will back soon.

Posted - 06/27/2005 : 06:04:14 Yeah, I saw them in 1987 at the SECC in Glasgow. It was the day I got my Sixth Year Studies results from school. The were excellent, and Hue & Cry were supporting. Not seen them since unfortunately. I would have loved to see the excesses of the Zooropa/Lemon tour.
