I don't dislike them, I prefer them in the charts than crazy fookin' frog, they just don't inspire me, they don't hit me hard where music hits me when it's good, you know?

No, really, Homers. If you wanna help out the outdated record collection
by all means do.

To be fair Kitty, you do like Kulashaker.

Seriously though I do kind of know what oyu mean. I don't feel liek they have pushed themsleves anywhere new. If you hated them before then you still will now. If you liked them before then you will still like them I think.

Woah! understanding of music, yes. An intimate knowledge of tunes that wouldn't sound out of place in a hotel elevator (one for the yanks there) nooo....

Speed of Sound is the most banal and totally "coldplay" thing I have heard, I wince when I hear it on the radio in a shop blasting out of someones car... They didn't challenge themselves much with that song, it's so formulaic (is that a word.. you know what I mean)
just so blah.

That your record collection could do with updating.

I am listening to it right now. It's very good. I am not sure if it's as good as the last album yet but it's definitely a very good album. I think Fix You and Swallowed In The Sea are my favourites.

The babysitter just handed me a copy of X&Y and I'm not sure I should burn it for myself.

Curse this thread. Every time I see it I think of the metal band Y&T.

Okay - confession time - it's was on my machine at work but deleted it within 5 minutes. I just couldn't see the point.

Don't know if I'll buy X&Y, my guess is I'll be hearing most of it everywhere I go over the next few months.

Parachutes is also my favorite. I really like Yellow.

Spot on there Offerw. I have a horrible feeling it's going to be one of those inescapable albums, so there is no need whatsoever for me to buy it (helped along by the fact that Chris Martin annoys the hell out of me for no real reason at all).

Oh there are few things I love more than the perfect word in the perfect
place -- in this case the adjective "iinescapable." This is why I have ceased
buying music by U2.

Plus, yeah, Chris Martin. So not cute. I don't get GP's fascination with him.

I just bought it for £6.99 with free delivery. I thought I may as well for that price.
