To complement general chat's two bearded guy-related threads (both a balm to Surfer and her ilk),
this is a thread for those of us who find sexy the bald/shaved/close cropped look.
Let the fetishizing begin!

Gentlemen, post your pix:

Okay. I just shaved my head last weekend. It's bald again. My band may be doing a photoshoot soon, so there might even be a picture in the "Show Yourself" thread soon.

Okay. I figured out how to post a picture, (see "Show Yourself" thread).

Yeah, that didn't work, kathryn.

I'll see what I can find. What's the html to post an image from another site? I'll see if I can pile some images together. But right now I'm hungry.

Mr. Dietr, we love you just as you are. Now post!

I don't remember that picture. I'll look around for another one, though. But no promises of a shaved head.
kathryn Posted - 05/29/2005 : 07:36:15
prozacrat, I remember that picture and I would venture to say
that the rest of the fb.net ladies do, too. Please repost it
here. Thank you. Have a nice day.

Besides, I put a picture of me on here sometime last year, for some reason or another, I think. Shouldn't that be good enough?

Well, my face is shaved clean right now, and I have hair. I'm trying to find a picture of me with the bald head/beard, but I'm having no luck. And I wasn't trying to hold myself up to the image that is Frank Black. Anybody who tried would find themselves hardly comparable. I'm going in to work in a few minutes. Maybe I can find a camera there and post something, though it wouldn't be the look we're speaking of here.

I've done the shaved head w/ beard look before. Of course, I looked nothing like Frank.
Surfer Rosa Posted - 05/28/2005 : 10:31:26
Hot damn. Shaven - but with beard. This is a whole new sub genre for me.

Here's a picture of The Man from Later with Jools Holland last night.

Funny thing, Fu, I was drunk and a bit too excited when I met him too! : )

Ten times you've seen those guys. That's great!

nice choice. i used to be a very big tragically hip fan in high school. i think i've seen them live 10 times or so. great live band. gord is very entertaining- kind of like a dancing bear on stage.

some friends of mine have met him and have said the same thing. i met him after a show one time but i was really drunk and a bit too excited. i started singing one of his songs and then he just turned and walked away. it was very amusing.

Yeah, he's a good dancer, that's for sure.

Hehe, I meant cool that you met him.
I really love some of his lyrics.
He's got a helluva stage presence too,
off in his own little Gordie world alot of the time, I love it.

"Cool!" I have practically lost all my long-term memory and you think it's cool?

He's kinda softspoken but also funny and attentive, polite. You know when you notice that a man is looking at you and listening to you when you're speaking, that you notice he's being polite? That way. Even if he weren't Gord Downie and even if he didn't look as good as he does, you'd still find him attractive because of his personality.

Carolynanna Posted - 05/27/2005 : 11:38:54
Cool!
What's he like to talk to?
He's quite poetic lyrically.

OK, Carolyn. This is scary. I have actually met him. THREE TIMES. Three fucking times, once for a good half-hour the two of us hung out at a bar talking and having drinks before a Blue Rodeo show. And I didn't recognize the photo. I think I am having early Alzheimer's. Sometimes I truly worry about this being the case.

Also, I would like to reassure you and all Canadian immigration
officials that I ADORE Tragically Hip and that New Orleans is
sinking and I don't wanna swim.

jediroller, I have a Belgian accent when I speak French;
a Cypriot accent when I speak Greek; and a Brooklyn accent
when I speak English. So I am made fun of by many people
in many circumstances and languages. darwin's punk-ass attitude doesn't
bother me. He's just jealous that he's not half-Greek.

Just think of your Greek ascent when I make Belgian jokes, and of your Belgian education when Darwin makes fun of the Greek... and that's you sorted!

Wow, I just delivered life changing advice. Gotta write a self-help book, quick, while I'm inspired!

and I have learned *sob* to live with such jokes, so it's ok.
