I'm making a proper one for my wall but I made one with pictures I googled as well, just a bunch of photos that show my dreams and thoughts and likes and wants really. So this thread is for a bunch of pictures about things that say something about you, they don't have to be your pictures just pictures that show us what you like and think about.

Although I will request, please, this isn't an excuse for a pictures of beautiful women mark two, we know already.

This one is pretty crappy, I didn't want to use coloured pictures because I like black and white photography a lot, there's coffee and cigarettes and music, an open road through a car window, a bandstand at night some paisley, a street book seller, a mirror and some other things. I'm still adding to it so it might change

So, show me. you don't have to lump them like I have, if you find one picture that says something about where you are right now then post it, you can explain if you like or just post the picture, I guess this is trying to be a getting to know you thread, looking at things through pictures rather than words.

This would be cool to do, but I have no artistic talent whatsoever, so I'm afraid I'll have to decline.

I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied.

darwin, she does look just like me - chubby face, bald, drooling.
Seriously, I think we do look alike. She's not in the pool photo, though
she's in there often, as am I. (And you don't worry about burning,
get to it when you get to it.)

Llamadance, thanks for the explanation. The books, they're moving, I swear!

Mines a pretty selfish one, I don't have any pictures of my immediate family (my mum, my dad and his girlfriend, my brother and his fiance and my youngest brother) on my computer that I'd really want to share. I made mine centered around what my life is at the moment, a few months ago it would have been very different, lots of thing pertaining to the 'big love' that has now gone away. So.

The coffee cups aren' all mine but thats probably roughly what I drink in a week (haha, a day more like) I love my coffee, good coffee. The girl in the shop, thats what I do if I have nothing to do, hang out in coffee shops drinking and smoking and talking to whoever is around. The books because I adore them and there is never a time I'm not reading something, I would never sleep if I didn't take a book to bed (I can barely get into bed for the pile on the pillows and the bedside cabinet), the books as sold my a street seller because I loathe new books and I don't like being prissy about creases and folds, I like a book to have character. The shelves are full of albums which is self explanatory but I do love vinyl, my collection is piss poor and I hope one day to have a collection that size, they smell ace too, old things do. The man int he light is about live music which I don't get to enough of. The mirror is about how scared I am of what I see in it, I hope one day that changes. The no smoking sign is because I'm trying to quit soon, the 'please' is because thats the word I say most inside my head. The headphones are about music and also about isolation, I like being trapped in headphones world. The bandstand because I love them, at night, I don't know it's a romantic thing I guess. The kiss because there is no thing sweeter than a well meant kiss and I miss them. The car and the road is about this strange beat obsession I have and also about loving car journeys. The paisly is hidden there because it's a beautiful pattern and I'm surrounded by it always. And the heart, thats about the heart and emotional things, it's also about rebuilding whats left of mine, and it's also about the study I do and the fact I'm still considering going into medicine in a couple of years. I should have also added something molecular thinking about it, but I was trying to distract myself from work not remind myself hehe.

The one I'm making out here in the real world is all about perspectives for me, I have a clear idea of what I want with my life and where I want to be (which I think is sometimes half the battle), and in bad times I need something to remind me of that.

Thank you to everyone who made one, they are beautiful.
I have now talked enough I think.

And it would be cool if starmekitten could do the same. I'm kinda hoping those are all your coffee cups (and it gives you another reason to procrastinate;)

It won't be nearly as interesting if I describe it, but here goes:

top left is the metabolism pathway of alcohol, I'm fond of a tipple, it's caused a few problems in my life, and I did a chemistry degree.

directly below that are representations of chaos

to the right of the alcohol are stamps depicting four racket sports. I've played racket sports consistently since I was about five - I love playing and watching them.

The Celtic cross is symbolic of my ancestry and has religious overtones - I'm very interested in faith, but don't have it myself.

DNA is near the centre

the books, I love reading, symbolizes thirst for knowledge, I'm an information freak.

The bird/treble clef, music soaring. I'm here, so obviously music is important to me

The Orion nebula - the universe fascinates me and I find looking up at Orion on a clear night strangely comforting.

The chinese symbols round the sides are my name, my wife's and my two kids.

The other two, hell, a guy's gotta have some secrets And this is getting too long-winded.

Very cute. Learning ballet? She looks just like you (I have no idea what you look like).

Is she in the swimming pool picture or is relatively small size of that pool picture indicative of your balance? (95% kid, 5% swim). Probing question.

Yes, that's the monkey girl pumpkin pie.

at them too long!
