i think it's cute how they try to hide their obsession with US culture by acting arrogant and disdainful, but meanwhile eating at McDonalds and listening to West Coast rap music.

clearly there is a true love affair happening here, which on one hand is very flattering, but on the other hand it's almost embarassing .. this outpour of affection.

my question is: aside from the Japan, is there a country who loves the US more than France?

i'm hardpressed to think of one.

on behalf of the US i would like to just say, 'thank you'. the feeling is mutual.

ElevatorLady: well... it was the first time anybody attributed me a title, I had to mark the event. I hope you don't mind.

Hmm. I thought perhaps you meant a gravyboat. I was so excited to think that this is what you may have meant, so I called my mom to test this out. I asked her if she still had that old silver 'france' that she polished for the holidays. She was just quiet and changed the conversation. You know why?! Because a 'france IS NOT a gravyboat! In fact, I will go so far as to say I don't even think it's a boat!

I do not beleive France is especially fond of the US. And what does it mean France??? What is the opinion of the individual???

I have some news for you, citizens of da world! Your opinion does not exist at any scale, besides your littel local scale, neightborhood or your blog on the net.

We told you. Surrender or get trained.

If Frank Black likes france, it is because there is something in the eyes of the French fans that you cannot find elsewhere (according to him). And he is not the only non-French artist to believe that.
...Or could it be the food, the only place in the world where you have countless sorts of meals. And good meals.

the spelling i bolded in the above answer says it all and
totally proves floop's point beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I know no French people who hate the Brits. This is only happening on football fields. Places that I avoid...

Don't believe in TV, don't believe in the net, don't believe in Beatles...

Whereas they hate the English because they know we are far far superior.

By the way, the Aussies want to be American too.

i think that france loves and hates the usa at the same time because the usa are the only country that can measure itself with france.

i think recording artist Snoop Dogg said it best in his song "Set It Off" (i'm sure most of the French are familiar with this one):

You can catch me and my niggaz, overseas
Shootin the breeze, with a cute Vietnamese
or was she Lebonese? I think she Chinese
It really don't matter cause they all on they knees
It's somethin bout these motherfuckin West coast G's

Well, I guess France is like an old, bitter woman who both hates and envies young ladies.

My question is, why does FB love France so much? :)

spot on, floop.

Who else would send you a 300 foot statue, generously start digging the Panama canal, provide hordes of beautiful girls to entertain GI as they were fighting those nasty germans, have an american beat their ass in Tour de France for several years, routinely use english words like 'weekend' and 'parking' and so on.

Have you seen Before Sunrise/Sunset? That describes this relationship perfectly.
