If you are American, you have to be an Ivy League graduate and/or have a PhD. PhD candidates are allowed after their first year.

If you are from somewhere else, your country's equivalent is required.

I am truly tired of talking to uneducated people on the internet. I already have to cope with them in everyday life, so I would like to this thread to be an oasis for our beloved brains.

So, to what extent do you think Kahneman's behavioural finance can be related to early Nietzsche?

[edit] I corrected the spelling of Kahneman (in French we would spell it with a double n)

Well, brains ARE tasty.

I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied.

Schools are brain-farms. The smartest people I know learned what they did outside of it.

Well, much as I like the attention I think you've had enough for now.
Just wait til I get my notes on Monday.

I joined the cult of cheeseman/ the strutting is over-rated

Talk more about the Maturitni Zkouske, drive the girls wild!

I know the expression, I was just taking the opportunity to strut. Just because I can.

I joined the cult of cheeseman/ how's that for strutting?
kathryn Posted - 05/14/2005 : 12:21:46
Very fine strutting, indeed.

I was making a joke. In the States, at least, "it's all
Greek to me" means "I don't understand what you're
saying," so I was, you know, making a jo ... never mind.

Cheeseman1000 Posted - 05/14/2005 : 12:17:59
No, Greek would be Apolyterion, Cyprus also. The Maturitni is Czech, the Erettsegi is Hungarian.

How's that for strutting?

I'll look at your WAEC's, but you're nothing without an OND.

However, show me a Maturitni Zkouske, I'll be a happy man. Even an Erettsegi.

You have to have an O-level in bangers and mash.

You think that? A degree from the Philipines is an entry requirement to an undergraduate degree at a low-ranked university in the UK. Some of the higher-up institutions will consider a Masters from Bangladesh equivalent to UK A-levels or a US High School Diploma.

Do NOT test me on international qualification equivalencies. You wouldn't want me to wield my Lithuanian Brandos Atestatos, or beat you down with an Israeli Bagrut.

Well, I haven't read your post carefully because I'm too dumb to do so. While I attended an Ivy League university, I did not
get a degree from one. If I am not further wrong,
darwin's the only Ph.D. holder among the Americans.
And you have yet to say which "equivalent" French
school claims you among its rarified graduates.

In France we have Grandes Ecoles that are kind of comparable to Ivy League (only much better)

I will show you fear in a handful of dust

Does Montpellier's business school is a grande école?

It is certainly way superior to other institutions from abroad (such as Harvard etc), mainly because it's French.

Well, when the intellectuals come for me I will be sitting at my desk with a gun in my hand wearing a bullet proof vest singing my, my, my how the time does fly when you know your going to die by the end of the night!

Lets talk about the unified string theory? Maybe speak in Esperonto to foresake the lesser thans. We can recite pi until we loose track of where we are or take a mega bottle ride for some fun.

What is your Mensa membership number? Are you really in the top 2 percentile of the world's population?

Ha! Mensa don't give out membership numbers! You get a tracking device implanted in your ass for safe keeping.

Great point, floop. We will use French pastry as our litmus test.

Perhaps one of the "highly educated people" can explain why Mille Feuilles are called Napoleons in the US.

Grandes Ecoles sounds like the name of some kind of pastry

mmmmmmmm, grandes ecoles.

Pretty clever for someone who did not graduate
from one of the fancy Grandes Ecoles.

Ah well now, I'd be the first to admit my spelling is quite poor, I stand by the theory though. At least I know the words to mis-spell them.

I think you'll find the majority of people who attend school disco nights would have difficulty stringing a sentance together let alone have a coherant discussion.

I don't know. British education is not what it used to be.

You should have studied in France.

How intimate with the British educational system are you Monsieur? Also, your desire for intellectual conversation is limited by your view of intellectualism, there is plenty of scope for "high" conversation in many of the threads but you seem to be limited to your field which I think is warping your view, and closed mindedness is not a sign of intellect to my mind.
