Post it here!

Broken Face taught me the importance of cooking
pizza using a pizza stone. Valuable!

Ironically, I can't think of anything useless I have learned here.

I learned, just moments ago, that the French spell "fellatio" "fellation."

I learned that, when you grow up on a farm in Georgia, your first girlfriend is a mule.

Yeah, Mosleyk, whoddathunk KOK would be so polite?

Kittie, it was those words you done teach me. Nasty ones.

I also learned, and it shames me to exhibit such
an American ignorance, that Blightey (sp?) means
England so now I know what Morrissey's singing about.

I know. I was able to read between the lines. I figured out "F" wasn't for "friend." Thanks for following up though.

I learnt that Groop Dogrdrill, Mclusky and The New Pornographers are excellent bands and should have gotten more success.

Kim, will you do me the honour of being my wife?

I learned to shut the fuck up.

oops!
Surfer Rosa Posted - 05/10/2005 : 06:51:53
I learnt that Hot Pockets are a microwaveable food stuff and not what happens when you cut the inside of your trouser pockets out.
VoVat Posted - 05/09/2005 : 19:23:09
I found out about the impending releases of Frank Black Francis, Honeycomb, and The Sicilian. I also found out about the Pixies reunion.

Or is this just for stuff you learned on General Chat?

unless they're the ones I taught you, then don't do it

Gosh, I didn't know food would be such a strong
theme here!

I just remembered that a certain female forum-ite
taught me a couple of naughty English terms, which I
cannot repeat here. But which I am glad to know
in case I'm even in the UK and I need to cuss like a sailor.

I just learned something really cool!

PixiesDisc is recording the 2005 tour, and announced that we can now purchase the CDs. As a result I have already purchased a copy of the show I am going to see! What an awesome keepsake!

darwin Posted - 05/09/2005 : 14:51:23
floop is apparently a fountain of knowledge. I started eating soyrizo, but my first soyrizo was spicier and more enjoyable than the subsequent ones. I give them a few more tries.

I've also bought a few CDs based on talk on the forum and have rarely been disappointed.

I also learned about the Breeders surprise pixies show that ended up being a Breeders show, but still very good.
Broken Face Posted - 05/09/2005 : 14:39:57
thanks for the shout-out kiki - have you been using the stone? do you think 'how did i ever make pizza without a stone'? because i think that all the time

i got a good tortilla soup recipe floop posted once. i only made it once but it was tasty. when i move i'll be cooking more (larger kitchen) so hopefully i can try it again

-Brian

If you move I shoots!

I've learned a lot of useful english expressions.

On the other hand, now I know what SNAFU means. It's probably useless information, but thanks again, Denis.

Sticking with the food theme...

I learned what a jacket potato was. Actually I find the entire "what did you eat for dinner tonight?" thread very informative.

Oh yeah....also on that thread I learned what a MILF is
Surfer Rosa Posted - 05/09/2005 : 12:37:02
Your recipe - my scrambled eggs. It's very very special.
floop Posted - 05/09/2005 : 12:36:07
you flatter me surfer..
Surfer Rosa Posted - 05/09/2005 : 12:34:06
Floop taught me to make the best breakfast imaginable.

I can't remember who taught me how to open cd wrappers without going insane, but that was really usefull.
