This thread is for anything you've said in the past on this forum that you wish to completely recant.

For me, I'll start off with something I remember saying a year or two ago, which was that I don't like the Beach Boys version of "Hang on to Your Ego" and think Frank's is far superior. Please forgive me for saying such a horrible thing. Though Frank's is pleasant enough (quite good, actually), the original is incomparable.

No, no. LBF, don't touch me there. That's how I like it baby. Have you dealt with the Trios of the woman's body? I am all here for you all nice and clean. You know you like it you dirty little bugger. Now come on and do what I told you. (which, btw, I ripped
off of SI). That statement was brilliant and should
not be recanted.

I don't know Kathryn, I thought we were just friends. You're allowed your fantasies but you might want to keep them secret rather than airing them out on the forum. =)

No, no. LBF. That's how I would have dealt
with the Trios of Donovan (which, btw, I ripped
off of SI). That statement was brilliant and should
not be recanted.

That leaves Landon Donovan with, I'd love to pound his juicy ass.

You might want to recant this too.

(edit: from the Marry Fuck Kill thread)

Absolutely no regrets!

Kim, will you do me the honour of being my wife?

Not earlier than yesterday, I said I thought More Songs About Buildings And Food was weaker than '77 and Fear Of Music. I was obviously wrong and only said that because I had only listened to it once. Since then I gave it a few more spins and realized its brilliance. I'm sorry for giving you a wrong and unfounded opinion.

I also would like to recant all unnecessary commas.
IceCream Posted - 05/09/2005 : 20:25:43
Yes, IceCream is a boy despite long girlish hair and the possession of three pink shirts.

GREAT topic, Adrian. I wish to recant my selfish and ungrateful attitude towars the Pixies tribute back in 2003. I said something to the effect of "If COF tells me the song needs a guitar, I'll put one on, but if he thinks it's okay, I'll leave it as is." It just shows how lazy and unwilling to better my song I was, not to mention I lied, calling myself busy to add the guitar when I really wasn't. And considering how hard Dean worked on the thing, I feel pretty bad about nagging on him to appease my lazy attitude. The song ended up totally sucking anyway.

That was 1 and a half years ago, though. I may've actually wanted not to add a guitar to perserve the song's originality and lack of conformation to traditional styles, and would only add a guitar if no one else agreed. But I assume the worst of myself.

I regret nothing! NOTHING!

I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied.

Um, isn't Ice Cream a dude?

I once said "Mr IceCream"
I am pretty sure I was wrong about that, but if I wasn't, then I wish to recant this statement.

The King Of Karaoke Posted - 05/09/2005 : 12:04:43
Well, shortly after Roy of "Sigfried and Roy" fame had been attacked by his tiger. I wrote about this dream I had where in it I had become part of a world famous magical gay duo "Sigfried and the King of Karaoke". I would like to recant that story because it never really happended. Unfortunately since making up that story it has become a recurring dream of mine. Haunting me almost nightly.

I said Guero was mediocre.
Dallas Posted - 05/09/2005 : 11:58:11
I need this thread. I opined that Nadine was a marginal song and poor choice for a single. i regretted it 2 weeks later. Same thing with my opinion that Sing for Joy was not that great and some junk about comparing it to Bon jovi's 'Gina worked the diner all day, working for her man...'. That was also completely wrong.
kathryn Posted - 05/09/2005 : 11:55:53
That one time in 04 when I said, "floop is right"? I fear I must take
that back. He was wrong.

at one time i may have said something to the effect that the band Wilco is "overrated"..

after giving it some thought, and listening to some more of their material, i think "overrated" is too light a term.. i would like to recant that statement, and replace it with something more like "they are waaaay overrated"
