Posted - 05/02/2005 : 21:55:23 By brother got me a ticket to see Built To Spill with him the friday after May 6. For the past couple of weeks, I've been listening to this band. I want to be able to recognize the songs they play.
Any thoughts about them? Specifically, is it just me, or is Perfect From Now On one billion times better than all their albums? |

Posted - 05/03/2005 : 12:15:48 My favorite BTS album is There's Nothing Wrong With Love. That's where my current sig is actually from. I'm very jealous that you'll be seeing them. They are playing in New York, but I missed out while tickets were still on sale.
Some brains just work that way, that's what chemicals can do. |

Posted - 05/03/2005 : 00:23:21 It is you. Perfect from now on is indeed astonishing, but There's nothing wrong with love is just as good. Even their live album is a must-have: the sound quality is superb, and it contains two 20-minute guitar freak outs: one a cover of Cortez the killer, one a version of their own Broken chairs. Keep it like a secret is a grower. Even their collection of early demos and b-sides is very charming. Well, that's all the albums I can tell you something about. I still haven't seen them myself. Lucky you if you're able to see them. Definitely one of my favourite bands of the last decade and a half. |
