The Exploited, I think I will never listen to them again.

I've been tryin really hard to figure out if there are any that I can honestly mention, but even the ones that make me cringe now still bring up memories for me when I hear their stuff, so I can't say I hate them now. I might not listen to them out of choice, but I certainly don't hate them.

The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it.

KYO et LUKE sont des groupes plein d'avenir....

I don't know him very well. I really love Brigitte Fontaine, if you know her through the media you may find her nut and kitsch and too much... actually she is really deranged. most of her work is fantastic French Music, especially her early era. Check the album "Brigitte Fontaine est Folle" 1968. The proof in the pooding. To rank along Gainsbourg's best works. I like Jacno a lot too. Very arty character and music...
Brel as an French spoken singer is totally prepunk!!!

Vive la chanson Française...

IYeah I quite like him too, I saw him last year, I think he improved his singing and I love Eden... How are the 2 others French singers you like? Gainsbourg and...?

I'm not pessimistic, I am sceptic.
vilainde Posted - 04/20/2005 : 07:03:29
Hey, I love Etienne Daho. He's one of the 3 French singers I like.

Mon dieu Holiday Son!!! YOU were a Goldman fan?!?!?!?

Don't ever ever blame for liking Etienne Daho....

By the way I was a huge Samantha Fox fan when I was a kid. I was fascinated by her breasts! That's strange considering the fact that breasts ain't my cup of tea at all today...

I'm not pessimistic, I am sceptic.

Donnie. My mom still has a huge box of New Kids crap at her house. It is so funny to look through.

They aren't still touring. Thank God! Donnie is an actor - he was the skinny kid who shoots Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense!

Hey! I was a Goldman fan when I was (very) young !

And I also liked Guns 'n Roses...
All of this was when I was less than 13-14.

If you re talking about goldman for the second..; THERE is NO excuse....

... Good to confess your sins.

Now repent and please don't listen to silly things again... ever.

Vilainde, you mean Citroën or Renaud?

If the latter even if I do not really did his music, we knew much horrible things in our country...Moreover I know the man a little, he is very sweet an kind though desperately down these days...

I'm not pessimistic, I am sceptic.
vilainde Posted - 04/20/2005 : 01:54:24
No! I'm not that young. It was... Hell it's so hard to admit it... My sister and I had albums by... a guy who has the name of a French car company... and another guy who shares his first name (and nothing else) with Jean-Jacques Perrey

Has Rod Stewart ever been not on crack?

I liked a couple of French singers when I was like 7 or 8. I can't stand any of them now. But that doesn't count cause at that age you just listen to what your older siblings do.
I own a Moby album (cause I liked Porcelain on the album Play) and also a Radiohead one (cause I liked Creep). I fucking hate both. Fortunately I managed to get rid of the RH one.

"Pigs In Zen"

Pig's in the mud
When he tires
Pig's in zen
Pig's in zen
Pig is nude
Unashamed
Pig's in zen
Pig's in zen

Talkin bout the pig
The pig
The pig - uh
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pig
Goddamned pig

Pig mounts sow
When he's wound
Pig's in zen
Pig's in zen
Pig eats shit
But only when he hungers
Pig's in zen
Pig's in zen

Talkin bout the pig
The pig
The pig - uh
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pig
Goddamned pig

Oh, I know about war
But I just wanna fuck
I know about pain and suffering and being cold
But I just wanna fuck

The pig is led to the slaughter
Pig is led to the slaughter
This he says
Is the price some pay
For a simple life
How he feels
Thats proof for him
Pig's in zen

Talkin bout the pig
The pig
The pig
The pig
The pig
The pig
Goddamned pig
The pig - uh
Pa-pa-pa-pa-pig

Soundgarden, specifically Chris Cornell´s voice. I had a tape on in the car some years ago and my mother said "Who´s he, sounds like Rod Stewart on crack."

This is hard because I've liked cool music since I was sixteen. Bowie, Elvis Costello, Gang of Four, and on up. I loved The Cult to death and look back on some of there late 80's stuff a bit embarrased but when you compare it to what was being shoved down our throught back then it falls into perspective. Does that make sense? If people think they suck because all they ever heard was Sonic Temple I'll put on any of their first three albums so they see what I mean(Ghjoist dance, Spiritwalker and Love). The self titled album that came out in 94 is amazing. Billy Duffy ruined that band by wanting to be mainstream and by bringing that LA cock rock dork from guns and roses play drums.

Blur.

Loved them in college. It was 1996. A lot of us indie rockers were also into Britpop. We thought Blur were clever.

Looking back, years later, I can't believe I never noticed how horrible the lyrics are and what a smarmy little weasel the singer guy is. Would rather be slaughtered and made into hamburger patties than listen to them now.

I hate CKY so much... But I tolerated them for awhile even covered one of their songs. Ok I guess this doesn't fit that well. I just take every chance I can to say how much I hate CKY.

Let the rotten vegetables start flying.
Joy Division.
I adore them, they are brilliant, they are singular, they
are majestic. Hearing them reminds me of a dark time
in my life and immediately transports me back there,
fetal and sobbing in the dark and I don't need that shit
anymore. But they are an amazing band.

P.S. To Wilhelm, love is a battlefield.

Dayarana, The Colour and the Shape was a pretty fuckin' rockin' record, w/ great songwriting. I think it's superior to the first record.
