So the other day i heard Oasis' "Live Forever" for the first time since the 1990s, and i forgot how much i adore that song (i don't even remotely like any of their other stuff).

What songs have you recently rediscovered?

-Brian

It's funny you should mention Live Forever Brian 'cos Slide Away came on as the last song in the club I was in on Saturday night, and it was cool 'cos the dance floor had already cleared as people were leaving, so it was nice to dance with that girl with nobody else too close.

I had forgotten how good that song was. Nice one to dance with a girl to.

I joined the secret forum, and all I got was this lousy secret

I haven't been listening to decent music to have lost any of it. I heard the first Pavement album a few days ago for the first time in two years, and I guess that sort of brought me back.

Some brains just work that way, that's what chemicals can do.

The entire Genesis album: ABACAB.

Speficifically, Lurker/Whodunnit.

I've been listening to some older stuff recently too. Songs that I had forgotten were totally brilliant are:

Big Country - Just a Shadow
Prince - Starfish and Coffee
The Bluetones - If...

The Pixies reunion re-lit my torch for "Nimrod's Son."
Amazing song, great to be rediscovering it after all these
years.

I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics

I listened again a song that I didn't for some years, 'Ulakanakulot', it's a Virgin Prunes song, and I don't listen to their music anymore, but this song is really good.

You must learn what makes me kind

After watching snippets of the 100 greatest albums thing that Frank was on I realised that I need Patti Smith - Horses back in my life again. Reminds me of being 15 and bunking out of boarding school.

My entire cd collection was stolen just before I moved to the UK - so I've still got massive gaps that need fixing.

The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it.
