I would like to know who is responsible for this horror.

I do enjoy the show. Keillor's a very talented man.
I must say I listen to Keillor's show whenever I happen to come across it on the radio. He cracks me up. Anyone catch it when he had Maria Bamford on his show. She is an amazing imitator of voices, and I cheered when she later had her own show on "comedy central"

Heh, I'm just imaging the Erebus Killer Scowl.
When you say old-timey, is it along the same lines as Pappy O'Daniel?

Posted - 05/07/2005 : 15:15:43 It's on the radio again, I am still waiting for someone to explain this phenomenon to me.
I checked darwin it is that prairie home companion thing, we get it a couple of weeks after you.
Whats with his annoying voice? and the stupid stories? and the crappy organ in the background?
And why is he on all the TV adverts?
I was so comfortable listening to the radio reading a shityy book with my favourite paisley blanket in true sick person self indulgence mode and then I get sucky radio. Life is cruel.

Posted - 04/17/2005 : 18:13:16 I get some show thats always on where he witters about lake woebegone (where the men are one thing, the women another and the children sub-average - i might have muddled that) and tells little stories in an annoying bronchial way, and it's always on when I really need to be listening to something on the radio that isn't that!

Posted - 04/17/2005 : 17:03:31 You get Praire Home Companion in the UK? There's sometimes some good music on there, but usually it's just the same old thing every week.
He does do a daily writer's almanac that I like. |
