Posted - 04/18/2005 : 07:12:33 I really liked Snow Patrol when I first heard them sometime last year, bought the cd and I can't bring myself to listen to it anymore. Found I got bored of their sound far too quickly.
The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it. |

Posted - 04/18/2005 : 06:26:16 I don't really have a top ten, but if you can pick holes in Low or Mogwai or Pixies, I'd be quite impressed.

Posted - 04/18/2005 : 06:22:47 Embrace are amazing!
I am not so keen on Snow Patrol. Run was very good though.

Posted - 04/16/2005 : 15:44:35 To be fair, I could have been a lot harsher on you rather than the bands. You have a tendency to pick the worst of British bands. I mean, Embrace? Really, shiner.

Posted - 04/16/2005 : 15:38:15 yeah run is pretty good too.
funny you should be so harsh cheese, i like coldplay, but consider keane a less-talented younger brother, snow patrol maybe a cousin or something but they seem to have a more personality, coldplay are pretty robotic, i've seen them live twice and i may as well have just put the record on. it seemed that live DVD they put out tried to capture as much personality from the band as possible and came up pretty short. i actually listen to the live CD that came with it more than i watch the DVD (i've only watched the DVD 3 times). |

Posted - 04/16/2005 : 15:24:04 I'd categorise them alongside Keane and Coldplay as music for those who wet the bed.
That's harsh. I kind of like Run but the rest is sappy and sounds the same as those wimpy bands as mentioned above. Its all very well trading on emotion, but to strip it of all musical interest puts me right off them.

Posted - 04/16/2005 : 13:54:17 I like 'Run' a lot. The rest seems to wash over me, but I don't think I've given them much of a chance really.
