Glacial can come too, if he doesn't mind hanging around with a bunch of teenagers. I remember he used to pop by sometimes as well.

I had some icecream a few days ago. I usually don't just eat it, but make a milkshake. I make a pretty mean milkshake, provided decent icecream.
And welcome back IceCream. Happy that you've returned. I miss our IRC chats.

On a scale from one to ten, the ice cream was a 4.
Mint chocolate chip because it's minty.
I don't have a favorite flavor. I don't particularly like ice cream, though I like you and I like this thread and I like KSR.
After I ate said ice cream, like the good former anorexic that I am, I ran three miles.
Did I mention the hot fudge? Man, I love hot fudge.

I left the forum right around when you started posting, Kathryn. It is now I seize the opportunity to converse.
Thus, a few questions:
On a scale from one to ten, how good was the ice cream?
And may I ask, why mint chocolate chip? Is it your favourite? (I'd say it's my favorite, though I'm also really fond of vanilla, because it works.) Or was it the most easily to access?
And what did you do after you ate the ice cream? |

Honestly, this thread was started to give me something to refer to in the Great Forum Dig.

I'm drinking beer and listening to Surer Rosa.
My non-pixies fan friend called me tonight:
"Dude - do you have cable at all - like even local stuff?"
"Nope. nothing."
"Shit. The pixies are on Austin City Limits."
"Hell yeah! Is it an outdoor concert in the daylight?"
"Yeah."
"Ok - thats the ACLfest show from last year."
After that I had at least 30 min conversation with him about why people dig things like Pixies, Janes Addiction and Captain Beefheart - all three being music he just 'doesn't get'.
"You can be as intellectual as you want to about this, but when it comes down to it, sometimes I want to hear shit that just plain old sounds fucked up. It clears my auditory palette."
He still deosn't dig it. He may sort of unserstand why i do, but he still won't dig it.
Oh well.
Its all about your personal feeling about the boundaries between "music" and "noise".
I'm still listening to Surfer Rosa.
If we get bored, we'll go to California. |
