So of course we all love surf music. I was going through the summer soundtrack thread and figured I'd gear up for the summer by getting some more surf music.

Anyone care to suggest any good, possibly obscure-but-findable surf bands or albums?

What do you think about The Phantom Surfers? My favourite surf band.

I've seen Man or Astro Man!

We stumbled into Sudsy Malone's in Cincinnatti back in the late 90's and it was them and a local (Louisville) elctro group called VHS or Beta.

It was a night of refreshing wierdness...for me and a couple other members of our party.
Thank god the MMW show at Bogarts was sold out.
I was not looking fwd to a bunch of spinning hippies...even though MMW isn't bad...the crowd usually is.

So, needless to say, if you were waiting around with five bucks in your hand waiting to buy my upcoming brochure Understanding Poop, you can put that five bucks away, 'cause it ain't happenin.

Check out Duane Eddy, and of course, The Shadows! Rhino Records are one of the main reissue labels, maybe check them out.
