Hello! My, my, it's been a long time since I was last here. I've just spent a few moments reaquainting myself with the topics and it seems my problem hasn't been covered yet.

Well, for the last few days as those of you living in England will know, the Sun has decided to come out from wherever it has been hiding for the last 7 months. It's about this time every year my friend and I begin competing with our summer compilations only... I'm out of original stuff and suffering from complete compilers' block! I'm really looking for something new this year so I wondered if you guys could help in posting your favourite summery songs so I can get some kind of fresh diversity this year. This is serious stuff!

I'm looking for about 15 tracks, the first track not being a first track on an original album.

I thought of a couple more:
'Take A Run At The Sun' by Dinosaur Jr, has anyone mentioned this yet?
'Summer' by Mogwai. Well, its a relevant name, if nothing else.

I'm like a lost snail in the night.

Stream Running Over - Apples in Stereo

That one might work as a spring song, too.

Anything by Cliff Richard

You know that Kenny Rogers song from the Big Lebowski soundtrack?

"I just dropped in"

Also Iggy Pop's "go for the throat" from the Beat Em up album. Actually, that whole album would be good and it even has fifteen songs if you don't count the secret track which rocks ass and is called sterility.

Seriously. Has anybody else hear this album? I'm telling you guys, it rocks ass. Check it out. Do it.
Do it.

Pablo Picasso never got called an asshole.

Yeah I'm good. There looks to be some good albums coming out this summer including the mclusky 3CD set, new Malkmus, etc... I've always really enjoyed early Ramones mostly the first album and Leave Home during the summer and Descendents. Good summer music makes me want to do stuff.
