i just got a new cellphone and i downloaded two ringtunes. my old cellphone i had "just can't get enough" by depeche mode and "here comes your man" by the pixies, as well as the "hockey night in canada" theme.
the same tunes didn't sound as good on my new phone so i got "punk rock girl" by the dead milkmen and "clocks" by coldplay. actually all the coldplay tunes sounded really good in polyphony.
what's your ringtune?

i have the vibrate / ring combo. vibrates 3 times, then rings. currently i'm on "Peer Gynt"

I have some lame preset one, called "Tap Dance" or something. I chose it because it kind of reminded me of the theme from Super Mario Bros. 2. If I could figure out how, maybe I'd use the ACTUAL theme from SMB2.

I don't have a cell phohe because,
1) Teenagers with cell phones are people I find very ignorant - especially when they're bringing their cell-phones to classes and purposely letting them ring and calling people just to try to make themselves looking important.
2) I barely ever leave my house, and usualy I keep pretty good contact with my local friends on Xbox Live or MSN.
However, my brother has a really cool ring-tone on his cell-phone. I think it's "Whatcha' Want" by the Beastie Boys (I think that's the title of the song atleast, but all of you probably know the song) anyways it sounds awesome on his phone - the bass is perfect. |

That's a cool fuckin' ringtone Kitty, Ilike those ones. I want one of those old style phones when I get my own place. You know the ones with thr round dial on the front, with that old school ring. I saw one in Pop Boutique the other day but it was a naff colour.

Yeah, it's the Saskatchewan Telus. Except smaller and still a crown corp. I'll let you know if I can find a way to message my ringtone, but I haven't come across anything yet.

searching for pixies midi files to use as ringtones i found HCYM, WIMM , gigantic and debaser but they all sound terrible so i just use an old phone ring. said that i use almost always the vibracall but i have assigned different tunes to people that usually call me.
PS: is someone actually buying ringtones? most new phones have an ir or bluetooth connection so it's pretty easy to send via pc whatever sound for free.

My phone plays MP3s, so all I had to do was just chop an MP3 of it down and dump it in the phone.

I can't download rings to my current phone, so I just put it on vibrate. On my old phone I programmed the lead for HCYM, and damn, I wish I still had it. That was an awesome ring.

when i had my old phone i could program my own ring tone, so i did the lead guitar line from 'where is my mind' and i was about halfway through programming 'cold heart of stone' when i gave up - it was hard!
