Scientists have found soft tissue on 70 million year old T. rex bones. If they can find red blood cell they might be able to extract the DNA.

ElLady, don't listen to Newo, what he says is
poppycock.

Blueblood comes from the lack of outdoor/manual/peasant
work making one's veins appear bluer than they would
had one been outside working and getting a farmer's tan.

I remember when Jurassic Park came out, there were loads of articles in newspapers and magazines about how they should soon be able to close dinosaurs for real. I am still waiting and suspect I will be 'til the day I die. Much like Nathan with his Hovercar.

"Shampoo" is such a universal word. Shampoo is
"shampoo" in so many languages. The spelling
may be different but it's pronounced pretty
much in a similar fashion.

The same thing can be said of the words "tea"
and "chai."

darwin Posted - 03/26/2005 : 13:18:11
shampoo, that's a great word

SHAM POO!!
starmekitten Posted - 03/26/2005 : 11:41:27
I was trying to explain the amusing word concept the other day, I think I did it badly, but sometimes if you think about a word too hard you realise how stupid the word is and then how funny it is then after a while every time the word comes up it's funny and giggles occur. I had to scroll down this page really quickly because last time I read it I laughed so hard I cried.

I sound a bit like a lunatic now don't I?

seriously though, spend a good while considering the phrase 'egg bound' hahaha egg.

I have to say, tadpole is one of the words that gives me uncontrollable giggles, I had to avoid this thread whilst still a touch tipsy because there was a falling off the chair danger

Tadpoles kinda freak me out. They're so weird looking.
No offense or hard feelings, darwin.

At some point early in my pregnancy, my well-meaning
ob-gyn showed me a picture of a tadpole and said the
fetus was that size and appearance...and I flipped out.

neither do I.

dinosaurs though cool! I love dinosaurs, I used to have one of those weekly magazines where you made your own dinosaur out of the woosden bits, I think I might have my toy story dinosaur somewhere with the button on the back that makes it go roar when you push it, dinosaur bones are cool too.

They won't make one, it'll be too hard. A real one I mean

Not in reptiles, birds, and amphibians. Mammals may be the only vertebrate with anucleated erthyrocytes. I don't remember.
