Hey all

WFMU (www.wfmu.org), the world's best radio station is in their pledge drive this week. For $75 tonight, Yo La Tengo will perform your request on the air LIVE - so i pledged $75 and i requested they play "Wave of Mutilation" - tune in on the web and take a listen if they get to it!

Does "Wave Of Mutilation" even HAVE a chorus? Is it that "way-ay-ay-ay-ay-ave" part, or what?

Is WFMU the station where Laura Cantrell used to have a show (and maybe even still does)? Or am I thinking of another New York area station?

they didn't play it, but they did talk about how they don't know it, and the one guy deadpanned "thats the one with the really soft verse and the really loud chorus"

i'm still pretty happy

You poor poor man. Today on the car ride home from school I was listening to FMU, and they were playing some Lightning Bolt, one of those bands I had forgotten to check out for a long time. One great thing about FMU is that you never hear the same song twice. Great stuff.

Are you honest when no one's looking? Can you summon honey from a telephone? They sat there with their hooks in the water and their mustaches caked with airplane glue.

FMU is 91.1, 89.5 is SOU. FMU is good. One of my best friends used to work at 89.5, and i would listen out of obligation

I love WFMU, or at least I think I do. Is that 91.1, or 89.5? I always get WFMU and WSOU confused. One is good, and on isn't.
