Posted - 03/11/2005 : 16:25:39 OK: Ferry Cross the Mersey is an old Liverpool song, as covered most notably by Gerry (Marsden) & The Pacemakers in the early sixties. This would be some sort of lame cash in somewhere along the line, involving the Christians (lame), Paul McCartney (lame), Holly Johnson (of Frankie Goes To Hollywood) and the songwriting/pop production machine of SAW, responsible for such lumini as Kylie Minogue and Rick Astley.
