Posted - 03/10/2005 : 14:41:13 The first great Killers cover band? I don't know what to think of the Bravery. HPM? Thoughts? Sure, their songs are catchy and fun, but I'm growing weary of bands that sound like this. It's too much. Does it diminish a record if it sounds too much like other stuff that has come out recently?
Please tell me what to like and what to think, people, I need help. |

And did you enjoy the GBV Rita sent you?

Really? Your post telling people to listen to them made you come across as a fan.
I am not entirely sure about The Cribs yet. They have some good tunes but my god they can't sing.

Posted - 04/19/2005 : 14:04:09 i saw the show near the end of last month and it is dubbed as "co-headlining", for vancouver it was bravery then ash and i hate to say it but the bravery upstaged ash, i didn't really like the bravery's music but the delivery was a-one.
all that being said, i just think ash had a bad night. |

Posted - 04/19/2005 : 13:49:43 The Bravery have been nicknamed by some of the music press here as The Bribery due to the amount of cash being thrown about by the rather over zealous record company.

Posted - 04/19/2005 : 13:33:50 Bprend, i went to see ash at the metro in chicago last week, and ash actually played before the bravery! ash has been busting their humps for years and these fuck-offs come and piss on their legacy. well, i was actually happy because i got to leave after ash.

I haven't heard the Killers.
Take a bite of the chocolate coffin.
The video was the first thing I saw/heard of the band, and I liked it for what that's worth. I thought the whole domino thing was nicely executed.
Congratulations to you for not having heard the Killers though, you should maybe patent your protective bubble. I actually like the Killers, but I'll admit they are literally everywhere at all times, so you've impressed me.
I would imagine if they reduced their sound to electronically processed serialist minimalism, that would interest you more?
I'm like a lost snail in the night.
Ok. Heard 'em now.
Phooey.
-
Reduced their sound?
Hand it over to William Bennett or Otomo Yoshihide for total obliteration.

By the way Speedy, you are Mike 2 'cos that is what Dean called you. |

Posted - 03/10/2005 : 15:08:59 I really want to dislike the Bravery, and in many ways, I do. I even heard Peter Hook slating them the other day, and its not really done to disagree with Hooky.
However, I very much like Honest Mistake, party on down people.
