I've never been a fan of rap or hip-hop, except for that "milkshake" song, so i don't care about Eminem one way or the other, but I've been getting annoyed with his latest songs and videos. It's not just that he's turning into that big-lipped douchebag Puff Daddy, ripping off Martika and that gay Aerosmith song.

His new video "Toy Soldiers" shows some kind of rap rivalry, but it's got all these stupid newspaper headlines as if anyone in the adult word gives a shit what he's doing, who he's mad at,ect. Sort of like Limp Bizkit did after there was some riot at one of their concerts and they made a video with Fred Durst in a jail cell and flashed a bunch of banner headlines on the screen. I bet all his "critics" couldn't sleep that night after seeing that video, because of all the regret and shame they felt.

I wish someone would take Eminem and Fred Durst aside and let them know that no one cares. No one wants to hear them "set the record straight" and "respond to their critics". Do they think that some rap song or a three-minute video on TRL is going to make some journalist say, "Oh, man, I was so wrong about Eminem...I completely misunderstood what he was trying to say... I never stopped to think about what he's been through or what his life is really like. How could I have been so wrong? This music video has changed my entire perspective on life and I will never rush to judgement again.

Nah, you're thinking of Michael Jackson.

I read in a magazine somewhere that he sleeps in a strange capsule and drinks the blood of 20 virgins - at first I thought it was because he was some sort of sick bastard, but now that you mentioin it; it's probably just to stay young.

I wonder how difficult it is for Raffi to keep making records for 3-year-olds.

I will admit that "My Name Is" is good, and that song "Stan" honestly did give me chills one time. As he gets older I think its going to harder for him to be making records for 12-15 year olds. I read somewhere that he buys $500 a bottle moisturizer to help make him stay young-looking (not that I wouldn't do that too).

I'm fine with Eminem. His songs are generally pretty catchy. I don't own any of his albums or anything, though.

You say this because you're the only one who remembers it first time around.

I would go as far as to say I am a fan of eminem, I buy his albums and enjoy them, haven't disliked a single thing he has done.

I agree,
As I was watching the video I was thinking the same thing. It's not like I watch MTV a lot so as the headlines came up I started thinking "Is this really all people talk about on MTV? Because I've never heard of any of this shit!".

It was then that I began to realize that "he" had materalized all of this, it's like he's thinking that he's some sort of public icon - when in reality, me, being attached to the hip world at the pulse, haven't heard of him in atleast a year; let alone seen headlines about him.

It's just now seeing this video that I remembered him, and started to think "Oh yeah, what happened to that confussed little guy...".

Ems a clown at best. He has made me laugh in the past but that's about it. I don't see how he is more talented than anyone else in the rap community. But he does sell the most albums so I guess that is why there is so much 'controversey' over him.
Yeah, the video was funny .. unintentionally.
