Posted - 03/11/2005 : 12:05:11 You a coast-head too kathryn? My current favorite - the calls about "shadow hedgehog" sightings (an offshoot of "shadow people").
I just noticed I seem to have developed a parenthesis addiction.

Posted - 03/11/2005 : 09:28:22 Oh, and for a real kick, try looking for the crazed New World Order conspiracy-types broadcasting from Texas. Alex Jones is always fun, if you rememeber to look for em, which I don't.
SW scanning is good for a weirdout too, but mostly just Christian Evangelical ("Harvesting") stations from Indonesia etc. anymore.

Posted - 03/11/2005 : 09:24:17 You might get better reception (badum-ting) if it was moved to the general chat section (offtopic).
I listen to C2C on a regular basis, on a little radioshack (realistic) synthesized receiver SW/FM/AM radio (DX-375) that's a real trooper (dropped a zabillion times) and has great reception for the price. Also really happy with our Freeplay Plus emergency windup (you probably hear the ads for ccrane.com all the time during C2C) -it's also been very reliable, great for the summers-o-basement-and-tornado-fun.
There are also a couple of shows that get broadcast on our local "Progressive Talk" (Air America and Jones Network) station here that I really dig (Stephanie Miller and Randi Rhodes). NPR mostly only on the weekends anymore. They just aren't the same.
