Posted - 03/02/2005 : 15:28:12 I'm just listening to Trail of Dead's new album Worlds Apart. What do you think of it? I'm a big fan of Source Tags & Codes and for this one I'm liking what I'm hearing so far. I'm now waiting to see how it stands the test of repeated listens (and hoping for the best). |

Posted - 03/22/2005 : 10:40:02 OK EL, your secret is safe with me. I got the Limited Edition copy of World's Apart today (very cheap on Amazon.co.uk), and the artwork is beautiful, even more so than usual. It also has a DVD with live footage, home movies and studio footage.

Posted - 03/20/2005 : 15:22:36 Oh I live in a forgotten corner of central Europe that's not very popular with cool bands, so chances are not so good. |

Posted - 03/20/2005 : 14:27:19 Well they are touring this album so there is a good chance you will be able to see them. Where do you live?

Posted - 03/20/2005 : 13:48:14 Well I've been listening to the new album for some time now and I do like it. That's why I got all emotional after reading the reviews. It sucks when someone bashes something you like. I've never seen the band live, but reading your comments here makes me hope to get a chance someday. |

Posted - 03/20/2005 : 04:45:00 I saw them live last night and they were absolutely stunning (Surfer you would LOVE them). They had two drummers which just made for an awesome sound, and they really do put everything into their performance. The new songs sounded excellent (I had managed to download a couple on Friday and a couple in particular were the best they have ever written, so I have now ordered the new album), how are you finding the new album now EL?
Have you seen them live?

Posted - 03/19/2005 : 16:47:48 I thought Source Tags and Codes was ok. I havn't heard anything about the new album but I thought they were a really great live band, I saw them a couple of years ago and they put on a great show. I'd recommend seeing them live, might be a better way of hearing their new stuff if it's been so universally panned.

Posted - 03/19/2005 : 10:53:19 I hope you don't mind me resurrecting a thread that no-one is interested in, but I have to add this. I went on to read some of the reviews, and they really are awful. All of a sudden Trail of Dead is like the worst band ever. I don't think they deserve this. True, they are not the world's most innovative band, but I like their music and I like Worlds Apart. Did any of you get to hear it yet? I'm interested in your opinion. Are the reviews really full of shit or am I missing the point? |

Posted - 03/02/2005 : 15:32:19 I haven't got it yet but I will soon. I love Source Tags & Codes too. I didn't like their other album so much though.
I saw a very bad review for this new album but I want to check it out anyway. Reviews are often full of shit. |
