Posted - 02/14/2005 : 02:47:09 This is a documentary about the life of Warhol-esque Bingenheimer, the '70s Hollywood 'groupy' and KROQ DJ - a startling portait of a man who by all rights ought to have a lot of money and friends but in actual fact appears incredibly lonely and almost resigned to this fate.
I guess our US brothers and sisters will have seen this quite a while ago but it's only recently washed up on our UK shores...I thought this film was excellent.

i loved his show too. and he seems like a cool guy. then i heard some disturbing stories about his sex live and his fixation with ultra-young (illegally) girls.
I second that rumor. |

I haven't seen the film yet, but I agree with you about the Peel comparison. It's a shame that Rodney was only ever on in Los Angeles. Through my teens (mostly the early '80s) I always looked forward to Sunday nights listening to Rodney. |
