i saw that tour also, i tried to buy the delays album but they sold it out so i ended up buying this girl a pair of those franz underwear (saw her in them, 'coughsexycough' but never got to take them off). i will bug my friend to loan me futureheads, he's being pushing them on me for a while.

Rat: do you have any regrets?
Pig: no, but i had a parrot once
Rat: that made absolutely no sense
Pig: well, it made sense to me until i learned he couldn't talk
Rat: i wish you couldn't talk
Pig: you would've liked my parrot

I bought the Futureheads album the first time they came around my parts with Franz, as I'm sure many people did. I gave the CD a quick listen, and then kind of shrugged it off, and it fell into the ever growing pile of CDs that ought to be listened to, but rarely are. I put my iPod on a shuffle a few days ago, and Robot came on, and it piqued my interest. Since then I've been listening to the disc quite a bit. I find it to be perfect homework music. I really regret not catching them when the were here with Franz, although honestly not because of them, but because I know that that will be the last time that Franz Ferdinand will play a relatively small venue in New York.

I will never say the word procrastinate again, I'll never see myself in the mirror with my eyes closed.

Yes I would. I didn't really like them that much when I first heard them, and that was on record. I tohught they sounded interesting, but I didn't really like their songs then. They are known as a band that really grow on you slowly.

My favourite band ever were like that. In fact quite a few of my favourites were. I think the more interesting bands take a little longer.

i saw the futureheads open for Franz. it was futureheads then delays then Franz. i thought futureheads sounded average (live that is), should i give them a closer listen, they are coming back on march 7.....

Maybe she has that disease where you age rapidly. Except hers is localized in her chest.

I don't understand how a 22(I think) year old girl can have such gross saggy breasts. I remember (accidentally!) watching one episode of SpongeBrain Retarded Pants Ashton Kutcher's "Punk'd", where he tried to punk Britney. She was wearing some hideous tank top with no bra, and she looked like she had the bossoms of a 45 year old mother of 6. Sex symbol my eye.

Yes you most definitely should. Try the first album first or one of the 'single only' releases, 'What A Waster' or 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun'.

I haven't heard a note of the Libertines music, but there's so much drama around that band, it kind of puts me off. Should I give 'em a spin?
Homers_pet_monkey Posted - 02/03/2005 : 14:13:27
I have The Futureheads album at number 1.

As for silly Pete.

But I've been all about the FH's since day uno, man! I mean, I was all "hey, here's my fave records of twenty oh four", which included the 'heads.

And did you hear the guy from the Libertines, Peter somebody, got arrested?
Homers_pet_monkey Posted - 02/03/2005 : 13:34:31
I see he is a bloke, and he is also a Libertines fan. Good man.

In this case you sure are. I didn't know you knew them. I think you are the only other forum member, other than myself and our new friend, who knows of them. Somehow.

Love, love, my season
speedy_m Posted - 02/03/2005 : 13:27:24
No sir. I'm sure it was far more clever than mine. Great record though! Eh? Boy am I ever hip! Eh?
Homers_pet_monkey Posted - 02/03/2005 : 13:25:16
Did you see my stupid and shallow reference a day or so ago?

Love, love, my season
speedy_m Posted - 02/03/2005 : 13:08:55
But I like it that Mike is stupid and shallow. It is a shame. It is a pity.
Homers_pet_monkey Posted - 02/03/2005 : 13:07:31
WOOHOO! My true forum love has arrived.

You're gonna tell me that you're a bloke now aren't you?

Regardless, great to see a fellow fan. They are indeed a tremendous band, one of a few bands emerging from England that like to do away with regular time signatures, and make you wanna dance. I also love the fact that they sing in their Sunderland accents. You don't get that very often. all the English want to sound American and now the yanks want to sound English. Very refreshing.

They also seem like thoroughly nice chaps, quite funny too.

AND, great live.

Love, love, my season
speedy_m Posted - 02/03/2005 : 12:36:10
Stop being stupid and shallow.
