It's not actually the Marsist, but it's the 1st 3 chords and then some cheesy drumbeat break and then it repeats. I keep waiting for the next part. I've almost posted this topic after seeing this commercial 50,000 times.

I know a lot of people have never seen this commericial because you don't live where I do or watch nearly as much television, but has anyone else seen this commercial? It's on all the major networks everyday...

wait. i think i'm confusing my car commercials. ignore me.
ugh!
Brenda_N Posted - 03/03/2005 : 17:34:05
Seriously. It's the Yardbirds' song, "Over Under Sideways Down."
If you haven't heard it you can't say that it's not. It's a variation
of it, but it even has the clapping.
Listen to it; I'm not lying.

"The Marists" kind of sounds like a car commercial song anyways, I think it was JUST FAIT BRINGING THE TWO TOGETHER. It's like... Frank Black you silly billy, you're writing car commercial songs.

Allot of the Breeder's songs have been used in car Commercial, I know Cannon Ball was, I think another one was too. I think Frank Black and Kim Deal should team up and start a car company and all their commericals could have their music in it.

I WOULD BUY A FRANK BLACK/KIM DEAL CAR.

Easy enough to find.

Well, thanks for letting us know anyway. I don't watch TV but it's good to know
about this.

I still believe in the excellent joy of the Frank

yeah it would be dead leaves and the dirtyground if it was tuned down a whole step....

G, F, G, cheesy drumbeat...

it's not enough to sue for copyright infringement but all I am saying is I think of the Marsist everytime I hear the commercial because it sounds jsut like it...

at least the the intro

Forgive me for watching way too much TV, I live my life by it: thus, the life of the mentally ill.

yeah I'm fuckin sure... everytime I hear it I am waiting the jump to A# to G#...

it's not the actual song, it's just a coincidence or a partial copy...

I mean it's only the 1st 3 chords of the Marsist in the same rythym played by some fake guitars... it's not a peice of "the Marsist" from COR, it just sounds almost exactly like it and makes me think of it eveytime I hear it...

Yeah, I'm not sure, I got it confused with 1826... err
