Cheers fellas. And thank you for link Martha, that looks awesome, I can't wait to check it out. As for recording streaming content, you need special software to do it. One good one is Blaze Media. You can get a trial version here: http://www.blazemp.com/ I don't know if it will work (I've never tried recording a stream). Hopefully someone out there with skills can give you more help. |

If your history "teacher" knows anything about history, he/she would know that history teaches us that video content of this quality and quantity, for free, is extremely rare. Thus, to simply let it continue to drift in relative obsucurity, ignored by history, as too many have in the past, would be foolhardy. Thus, doomed to repeat history, if one doesn't know it, you've made the wise choice. Also, if one uses the word "history" enough, sprinkled with a good dose of "doomed to repeat it", etc, one can pass pretty much any history test given in the history of history tests. Unless it's a test on Michael Jackson's HIStory. In which case, I don't think anyone can help you. |

You guys should peruse the KCRW site, Morning Becomes Eclectic is great, and they have streaming videos up of many great performances (Wilco, the Dears, American Music Club, My Morning Jacket, PJ Harvey, Polyphoinc Spree, Sonic Youth, Air, Franz Ferdinand, and on and on and on...)

Thanks for the advice Speedy. I updated my Realplayer, and I have had no problems watching it now. Really cool performance so far.
I found some great video coverage from one of their concerts, and I think that I might have gotten the link from somewhere here on the FB board, but on the off-chance that I got it from one of my other boards, I figured I'd link it here as well. http://stream.qtv.apple.com/qtv/toolshed/merge/arcade_ref.mov It is a video of Neighborhood #3.

Did you get it working? I want you to hear it! I've been watching gush about Funeral all over the forum, and it makes me happy, because this is such a terrific album, with such great lyrics. It makes me feel like a kid in a way (the lyrics), they have a real childlike quality. |

Yes, it's video rita. Do you have Real Player installed? You can get a free version at http://www.real.com. The player itself is kind of ass and I only use it for things such as this, though it can play mp3s and other movie file formats as well. There is also an audio only link here: http://kcrw.com/cgi-bin/ram_wrap.cgi?/mb/mb050117Arcade_Fire It uses Real Player as well. I hope you can get this to work, it is terrific. It's an acoustic set, and they play a brand new song, as well as a cover (Magnetic Fields "I Was Born On A Train"), and plenty o' Funeral. |

I must say I have never heard a single note of Low's music, though I keep hearing how great they are. Are they in that ill-named genre "slow-core"? I'll have to a find a quiet, patient day. And Blueberry Boat is amazing, no doubts. Oh, and in Canada, we say "here" instead of "hear". Cause we're like that. |

Thanks for the link Speedy. I've been downloading some different Arcade stuff, like as you said, I can't get enough of Funeral. I got a Very Arcade Xmas, which is entertaining at most, nothing like Funeral.
Edit: Is anyone else having trouble with the video quality from this link? Or is it just me? I have no problem with the audio, but the video is very choppy. Could it just be my realplayer?
