Posted - 12/13/2004 : 03:38:22 Got the DVD at the weekend - haven't laughed so hard in far to long - forget how amusing toy animal versions of blockbuster movies can actually be.
But the real real prize was in the extras documentary. Bad Dad interviewing the great man himself - followed by their homemade video for Dog Gone. I think Adam is a fairly die hard FB fan - Frank also appears in Vinyl Justice on the disc, as well as numerous Pixies and FB posters site throughout
Excellent stuff...

Posted - 12/14/2004 : 12:44:09 Thanks Malax, I was sure I wasn't making it up, I think it was called something like Adam and Joe do Tokyo? I remember them interviewing the guy who did Battle Royale 2 and it seemed every time I caught it they had the 5678's on. Either that or I saw the same episode over and over

Posted - 12/14/2004 : 12:21:39 The thing they did in Japan (I forget the name) was on BBC3 (I think) were they reviewed films and took the piss out of Japanese culture/people. It was on like every night a few weeks. hi everyone.

It was billed as 'the show with tits in it.' Not too sure about a japanese show though.

Messr Buxton was on the DVD right? Doing an impression of La La Love You?

Posted - 12/13/2004 : 05:20:19 adam and joe are absolutely hilarious - love those toy slots so much too and here is hoping that it ends up in my christmas stocking this year. their other show - shock tv - was very amusing too. adam buxtons new show (the last chancers) is actually starting tonight on E4 at 10.30 i think - should be funny if the vignettes are anything to go by.

Posted - 12/13/2004 : 04:23:08 Yep, Adam's a fan. But one of those who once said something like a die hard Pixies fan would rate SR above all others. Easy to say if you were around at the time, which I think he was. Someone like me who fell into their sound around Trompe, it's a tough call. But I see where he's coming from. Maybe, a die hard Pixies fan would rate CoP as the best. Hmmmm. |
