Are the people that make our decisions in this country self-interested, or are they there to make the lives of their people better? I'd say the former, how can this country become a better country if 9/11 didn't do it?

Seriously, Sister Golden Hair is the quintessential 1970s song.
That pretty strummin', those sensitive lyrics. It's so good, it's good.

I still believe in the excellent joy of the Frank

So bad it's good.

Gosh. I never even thought to feel shame for liking this song until now. I feel naked.

(just kidding, I don't feel any shame! ;))

It is by the goodness of God that in our country we have those three unspeakably precious things: freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and the prudence never to practice either of them.

(whistling, hands in pockets)

Hey! I thought KOK would be here by now.

(shrugs)

"On the first part of the journey I was looking at all the life..."

I also really like Sister Golden Hair. That song can drive me to tears.

Seriously, Chip Away, I would rather think about these lyrics and songs or anything else than the fascist government which 70 percent of Americans had a chance to oust last month but did not (30 percent voted for them and and 40 percent didn't bother voting at all).

"Well I tried to make it Sunday, but I got so damned depressed That I set my sights on Monday and I got myself undressed..."

I thought this would be a thread about the band who poignantly sang "Horse With No Name" and "Lonely People".
