The article says mountain lions have killed 18 people in 100 years. I wonder how many people die from car accidents caused by deer (which have exploded in numbers partially because of a lack of predators). It's probably well over a hundred a year. In western Michigan some insane percentage of car accidents (like 50%) are caused by deer. So, maybe the reintroduction of mountain lions back east will actually save human lives. Plus it would be cool to have them and wolves back. |

Wow KOK that was a good article. I feel so bad that they're killing all those mountain lions... i mean is it really called for? Can't they trap them or even sterilize them?? |
