Posted - 11/26/2004 : 04:25:15 i don't know why, though.
maybe because i decided to stop using capital letters. or maybe my typographic behavior is only reflecting my spirit of joy and amusement.
i'm in a good mood today.
the weather is quite ugly, not too ugly though, which means it could get uglier, probably during the weekend.
yet i feel good today.
i watched the news this morning, they were just about as horrible as the last week's news, but probably not significantly worse than they will be next week. but the coffee was good.
i no longer want to become a fox or a zebra.
anyone else feeling good these days?

Posted - 11/30/2004 : 00:29:47 I am really in a good mood today, I´m starting my breakfast and I don´t have a lot of work today, and the best thing is that tomorrow is holiday here...it should be like that every week!

Posted - 11/29/2004 : 13:13:46 oh speaking of coffee while doing the housework and hanging out all my housemates wet washing I was in the kitchen and dropped my favourite mug, full of coffee all over myself, staining my new blue top covering the floor and the worksurface I had just so neatly cleaned.
This week is going to suck.

Posted - 11/29/2004 : 11:49:18 Vile mood.
Hysterical housemate last night, a large amount of vodka, two hours sleep, the vodka toxics, a 9am lecture I was four minutes late for and they made me wait an hour till I could go in, a traffic jam on the way to uni, annoying loud ass bunch of people at lunch time, crappy overpriced lunch food, crappy afternoon university stuff, a backwards tram ride to the supermarket, an hour wait in the sub zero for a taxi home, shampoo that leaked all over my bag, shampoo that has drenched my uni notes, a cold flat, washing to do, housework to do, a meal to cook for my housemate, my notes to salvage, study to do, a few hours sleep required for a cell culture lab tomorrow with a group of ignorant fuckwits and all I want to do is have a hot shower, a warm drink go to bed and finish my book.
The week, does not, bode well.

Posted - 11/29/2004 : 10:56:31 Heresy or not, almond croissants (next to bicycles) are pretty darn swell inventions suitable for that rare moment of indulgence. I'm not in Montreal anymore (I'm in paradise now) and have seen my Pixies already this year, settling for loud Surfer Rosa in my new car instead...
But I'm in a good mood today anyway. Probably not in as good a mood as our Kathryn??? |

Posted - 11/27/2004 : 01:56:05 Remembrance of past croissants...it's a matter of moment, not food. Tasty though almond croissants may be, they are a heresy.

Posted - 11/26/2004 : 19:52:07 Kathryn...that is so cool... let us know how those shows were!
Notkimdeal, are you in Montreal to see the Pixies or are you just remembering eating crissants from the past... anyway if you are there I hope you have fun at the shows :)

Posted - 11/26/2004 : 16:51:31 Don't get your knickers in a twist. There's a lot to feel good about today.
But I'm sorry, it's going to be very very difficult to top that almond croissant experience. Life just doesn't get much better.
Do you agree, Monsieur, or do they even make croissants like that in France (I can't remember)? They make them heli-good in Montreal. |

Posted - 11/26/2004 : 12:30:08 It's a full moon today.
Got word that the big boss here has expressed appreciation for my work (and he never says anything about anybody so it's quite a compliment). My cup of coffee was excellent. My assistant brought almond croissants for us. The plumber is going to finish my bathroom renovation today, finally, after 4 years being partially done.
I've been singing to myself lately = key indicator of good mood. |

Posted - 11/26/2004 : 08:07:27 Kathryn, I was feeling very well already, but now I feel even better, I wish I was over there... but I´m glad to hear that you´ll be having 3 Pixies shows. Have a great time!!!

Posted - 11/26/2004 : 07:40:21 I feel great after reading all these posts. Plus I'm still in my boxers as it's my first regular week day off work in a long time. Can't beat that. Think I'll go ahead and invite the cute asian girl to see Cirque Du Soleil with me seeing as though there is all this positive energy about. |

Posted - 11/26/2004 : 06:46:31 Like Surfer Rosa, I got the right amount drunk last night...no ill effects this wonderful morning.
What a perfect thread for me, Monsieur. I thank you for starting it. Yes, I feel good, damned good today.
In two hours I am picking up my best friend on the planet. We will drive, with Frank cranked up loud and talk and eat road food the whole way.
Then, tonight I am seeing the first of three Pixies shows.
Life will eventually return to its ho-hum state, but today I ride the tallest waves, my friends. That would be the wave of mutilation.
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Frank |

Posted - 11/26/2004 : 05:03:14 I'm in a fabulous mood today.
Had my tattoo retouched last night. Drank just the right amount of mojitos last night to not be horribly hungover today. Today is Friday and I've been paid. My best friend is staying with me for the weekend. 2 kick ass gigs lined up for the weekend - Dillinger Escape Plan and Mark Lanegan Band. Lovely little present in my inbox from the even lovelier Newo this morning. Sun streaming through my window. AND just been handed a bag of magical truffles from my favourite boss.
Can today get any better?
I thought I could see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it was just some b*stard with a torch, bringing me more work. |

Posted - 11/26/2004 : 04:53:14 I'm feeling incredibly shitty these days, but I wouldn't dream of starting a thread for it, so I figured I'd butt in and pollute yours instead :)
That said, I'm glad for you, Monsieur. You're an inspiration to us all. Well, sometimes.
Don't forget to post how much you hate "Liberation"! We're having a collective release of "Libe"-hatred up there. (Although if you'd rather state that you hate "Capital" or "Challenges", it's all right too.)
"Just kill the one with the sword first." "Ah," Reagan says, raising his waxed and penciled eyebrows, and cocking his pompadour in Shaftoe's direction. "Smarrrt--you target them because they're the officers, right?" "No, fuckhead!" Shaftoe yells. "You kill 'em because they've got fucking swords! You ever had anyone running at you waving a fucking sword?" |

Posted - 11/26/2004 : 04:44:44 I'm feeling pretty good too. It's my birthday Sunday so Saturday I'm going to get stinking drunk and wake up with my underpants on backwards. I'm thinking about quitting capitals again too, I used to write like that then an editor said she wouldn't publish my story less I put them in and I listened, silly me.
