What the fuck? It's 4PM EST and nobody has started a thread about the Nirvana boxed set. I got through the DVD and first CD and it is beautiful nostalgia...takes me back to those 3+ years in which I worshiped the band. I think they were greatly responsible for my interest and exploration into rock music.
So far, I've already heard a lot of this stuff on bootlegs, but it's nice to have seemingly higher quality recordings of these songs. Celebrate the genius that is Kurt Cobain.
I guess I just wasn't made for these times. |

I'll be picking it up as a Christmas present for the guitar player in my band. Hopefully I'll get a chance to see the DVD at some point. The only thing I'm planning on buying myself for awhile is the Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain reissue that came out recently.

Downloaded it...wasn't too crazy about it...guess i'm kinda 'done' with Nirvana.

It's a bit pricey, i'm waiting ' till i get paid.

well I read in my newspaper (which a had a great story on Pixies)
that the boxset wasn't that great
the spoke more of a sleazy way to get Courtney out of her contract with Geffen
Universal got to release to boxset and the contract would be undone
this is the lady who released to dairies of her late husband
I think she is talented, I'm not one of those courtney haters
but you just don't do that

I think Target's gonna have it on sale for $28 on Friday, so I'm holding out till then. They have some good clips on the official box set website.
