i'm curious if any of you are familiar with this brillliant invention.. (particularly you vegetarians and vegans. Dave?)

i'm far from a vegetarian myself, but i thought i'd give this a try because i was curious. also, it's not really a good idea to eat ground pork every day, unless you don't want to live long.

i was fucking amazed at how good this stuff is. it literally tastes exactly like chorizo.

i tip my hat to the vegan community, and thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Just this morning I looked for Soyrizo in our semi-ritzy Nugget Market. No luck. I'll have to try our co-op.

after being so pleased with the soyrizo, soy product, i thought i'd go out on a limb and try the "tofurky" (didn't someone say that was good?)

i was left feeling underwhelmed, disappointed, a little depressed and very gassy (though i was anyway).

"tofurky" = assfurky

Love that shit.

Whenever the meat is really spiced, the vegetarian equivalent is great. The pepperoni is good also, but the turkey is crap.

Moving from the clown to the jester will mean moving from similar to same, from alike to identical, from comparable to analogous. Though applied differently, the colours used on one can be used on another, and a couple of changes of costume will rapidly transform the jester into a clown and the clown into a jester. Strictly speaking, they almost duplicate each other as regards clothes and function, the only difference between them, from a social point of view, is that clowns do not usually visit the palaces of kings.

just scramble it in with your eggs

Now that I'm 36 I really don't have to worry about it, but point taken.

I love chorizo enchiladas. Mmm, yum.

Chorizo without the mystery meats? I'll have to look for that in one of our hip supermarkets.

I made myself sick this weekend with a big birthday lunch of chili fries and a strawberry shake. As an old guy, I guess have to learn some moderation.

Tofurky is also incredibly good, for all of you who were planning on eating turkey this thanksgiving, but don't want the 725mg of cholesterol, 42% of calories from fat, and would like to make Thanksgiving "happy" for everyone!

I hate to break it to you, Señor floop, but I have not eaten my brother the pig or my sister the cow since 1982. Don't cry for me, Argentina, but I've never eaten chorizo, though I know that multitudes love it, as you do. Enjoy!

if you like chorizo (and who doesn't?), you should check it out kathryn. c'mon. . you used to live in California. tell me you don't have a soft spot for ground Mexican pork sausage..

floop, I am so happy for you.

Like Rita, I am not a vegetarian so I can lust after food that mimicks the taste of meat. For instance, I'd rather go hungry than eat Tofurky this Thursday.

Knock yourself out, my friend. ¡Salud!

believe me, i'm the same way. i'm generally anti- products that try to taste like meat but aren't. those are usually the ones that are bad. like, vegiburgers that try to taste like beef. i like Gardenburgers because they have their own taste. but the ones that try to replicate meat taste are usually gross.

but soyrizo has opened a new door . my life will never be the same

Hey Floop, when I was a vegetarian I hated everything that tasted like meat...I didn´t eat meat but I didn´t wanted also something that was pretending to be meat! I still don´t eat pork...

...Love, love, ain't this enough
Pushing around
To find little comfort in words
But words
Well they cannot love
Don't waste them like that
Cus they'll bruise you more
