a huge hardcore Toadies fan? I recently acquired some unlabeled Toadies "demos", and live tracks. None of them are from the albums.

I was hoping to find someone who knew the names of these songs, so if anyone knows of a good Toadies community (surely there is one somewhere??) then let me know.

For those of you who miss them I fell upon this gem. Here is a live performance of Send You To Heaven. SYTH was my favorite non-released Toadies song. Enjoy.

Toadies - Send You To Heaven

I have the strangest feeling about this.
Like you and I could last for awhile.
We could make it work for three or four more miles.
Then I'll send you to heaven and you will still be mine.
I'll send you to heaven and you will still be mine.

Caught you thumbing your way to Memphis,
I thought for some conversations for the ride.
All you had to say was the Beatles and the Stones.
Maybe Graceland will set you right.
Maybe I'll send you to heaven and you will still be mine.

I’ll take you for a ride, not too far.
I'll drive you to Memphis in the trunk of my car.
I told you once so you know damn well.
I ain't buying what you've got to sell.
So you can cry, cry, cry till you're dry.

You know I thought for a while I had me an angel.
The way your eyes lit up when you smiled.
Twenty miles or so of the Beatles and the Stones.
I'll send you to heaven for some peace and quiet.
Maybe I'll send you to heaven and you will still be mine.

I'll take you for a drive, not too far.
Drive you to Memphis in the trunk of my car.
I told you once, so you know damn well.
I ain't buying what you've got to sell.
So you can cry, cry, cry till you're dry.
Cry, cry, cry till you're dry.

I've found all my Toadies stuff. So far it's over 500MB's of MP3's. I'm cataloging it all in Folders for myself as well.

Don't think I've forgotten about you. My Toadies files are all over the place. What I think I'm gonna do for you, since they are demo songs and already in mp3 format, is see how many mp3's I can burn to one disk and let you sort them out on your own computer/burn cd. If all works out well you'll have these by x-mas. Access my profile and send me an e-mail with your address.

Another legend

One time back in 1991, the Toadies went to a Pixies concert, and gave the band a copy of their "Dig a hole/I hope you die" single. Kim Deal said, "You guys sound like us!"

I dont think I am alone when I say this, but who or what is this "toadies" of which you spake?

------------------------
“I want to be a star!” I cried
They said, “You’re overqualified.
Why don’t you learn to tune your damn guitar?”
Jose Jones Posted - 11/15/2004 : 10:50:05
make sure you acquire "remember bonnie"- beatbox version. what a great tune.

Holy Shit. I had no clue about any of this... they have quickly become one of my favorite bands but I'm still very new to them. This is like a damn gold mine.

Do you have all of that stuff? Do you know how one could obtain it?

I have 21 songs but none are labeled. Songs that I KNOW, such as "ATF" since it's on Best Of, are not the correct track number. I can't even find ATF in this collection.

Paper Dress is also on the collection, but not the track number that you specified.

How many of the 21 songs that I have listed do you have? or do you have more?

Legend has it that 'I hope you die' is about Edie Brickell. Listen for the lyrics D - I - E - E - D - I - E

They have a shit load of songs that where never officially released because of their problems with Interscope records. I have most of them, but not all. I have alot of the Feeler demo's, there are more from Feeler than is listed above. Some showed up later on Hell Below / Stars Above or HBSA for short.

Thanks. A lot of these match up, but other ones don't.

ATF and Got A Heart are not right, but Ruth and I Hope You Die match up. The rest I don't know if they match or not since I don't know the songs.

I guess I just have a bits and pieces compilation.

Yeah, track 2 is obviously "I hope you die" since it says that over and over.

There are 21 tracks total. I think that "Ruth" from Pleather is on here too.

If you can list the rest, if this is indeed the album you speak of, I would appreciate it.

Someone got the Ultimate Toadies. My favorite has always been SYTH or Send You To Heaven. Good stuff. Sadly their BBS went down earlyer this year.

Does it begin with 'Dig A Hole' and 'I Hope You Die'. If so I can look at my copy and list the rest of the songs.
