Consider yourself lucky if you don't know what this is about.

Actually, Speedy, I believe she shills for Payless Shoes, though I'd hate to imagine what her feet and ankles look like.

It's Grimace when he's not shilling for "Mackers". Don't make fun, he beloved by children around the world.

the thing in the picture with the dead eyes is what I meant, is it a cartoon, it's no way a real human

Tre, it turns out that you are actually lucky to be British because it has spared you from this ugly phenomenon.

Speedy, baby, why the sourpuss attitude? I happen to know that it's wicked cold right now where KOK lives and I make it a point to watch out for my fellow forum members when they are in need. It would break my heart if you
took another girl on those dirty factory floors, you know.

For a white dude, I look an awful lot like an overweight African-American woman. I'm still wicked hot, mind, but in a 'Star Jones as a man' sort of way.

Your KOK obsession is disturbing and somewhat of a turn off. If you can't focus on anything but his icy blue balls, I'm afraid I'll have to find someone else to romp in bakeries with.
kathryn Posted - 11/10/2004 : 12:28:22
That hat could sure keep KOK warm out there in the frigid weather.

So, speedy, you're telling me you're an overweight African-American woman? I could have sworn, as we rolled around the sticky floor, that you were male. Hmm.

Please send it my way kathryn, I'd love to read it. Fear not, I've never even read Eggers, I'm just a name-dropper. Right, right, Krispy Kreme. Little Debbie was my other snack-cake related dalliance...

And Dayna, if it makes you fell any better, I'm still single and I look exactly like Star Jones. Well, not EXACTLY. I would never wear black fur with brown fur. My God she looks a lot like Grimace in that picutre..
dayanara Posted - 11/10/2004 : 12:02:16
You know what makes me horribly, horribly depressed? That I'm single and THIS WOMAN:

...has found someone to marry her. It's just not fair.

It was Lo I dealt with, Lo who accepted my now-dusty lusty manuscript. God knows where it is but if I find it I will email it to you. Thanks for the interest, tho it's hardly staggering or of genius (can I be so unhip as to admit that I couldn't stand that Eggers book after the first few hundred pages?).

As to above choices, it's "d" but it was a Krispy Kreme donut factory not a Little Debbie factory. How could you forget!

I think we should send KOK some blankets or a good lined hat. He must be frozen by now.

As I try to determine whether 'buttercup' is a step up a) a step up from 'cupcake', b) miles above 'cupcake' making 'cupcake' look like a derisive curse and/or slur, c) about the same as 'cupcake' due to their relatively equal merits as desserts and/or terms of endearment or d) proof positive that you still harbour feelings for me from that night spent spooning in the basement of a 'Little Debbie' factory, I must say that I'm very impressed that the illustrious Em & Lo accepted and were ready to publish something written by you. I'm an avid Nerve reader, and permium subscriber, if only because free internet porn was somehow not enough one day, and my credit was too close at hand. I would be very charmed and further 'sweetened' (how can a cupcake/buttercup GET any sweeter, you ask?) if you would allow to me read your heartbraking work of staggering genius. Anonymity is safe, but rather boring, no? Look at our girl Star....

As for KOK, all I can say is "swing low, sweet chariot". Though not sweeter than my chariot, I imagine...
kathryn Posted - 11/10/2004 : 11:02:08
speedy, my little buttercup, I wrote a piece for Nerve, they accepted it (yay) but then I chickened out because it would have been very obvious that I wrote it. I like their website, though, they've updated it nicely.

I am very worried about KOK. I fear he maybe freezing. We should start a fund to buy him some warm winter gear.

Well, it's not often I'm a "little cupcake" to anyone, so I suppose you can read as many trashy mags as you like. As long as you continue to report on your findings to me. If you want a great round-up of all the trashy mags, read the 'Scanner' section at www.nerve.com.

She's a specimen alright, and abnormal for sure. I'm sure to her all of this feels very romantic, special, and maybe even 'normal'. To each their own, to be sure, but I can't help but pointing and laughing.
kathryn Posted - 11/10/2004 : 10:32:24
Speedy, my little cupcake, I don't get much time to read trashy mags and when I do, at the hairdresser's for instance, I go all out. And I find Star unspeakably compelling. She's like a specimen in an abnormal psychology class, you'll agree.

Nice Star Wars reference, BTW.

And don't think you can "talk real fast" over that fact that you know all the details of Her Egoness's life. Scary kathryn, scary...
speedy_m Posted - 11/10/2004 : 10:18:13
Four personal trainers? Did they personally train at Industrial Light and Magic, cause those are some impressive special effects. That picture of those two (to continue the Star Wars related reference) is like Princess Leia and Jabba the Hutt. Or, I guess, Queen Al and Jones the Hutt.

OK. I know about this only because (takes a deep breath, starts talking really fast) I went to the hairdressers the other day and apparently Star is all over the place basically hawking her upcoming wedding to this allegedly gay man. According to one magazine -- People, I think? Can't remember ..anyway...She has no fewer than four personal trainers to get her ready to fit in her wedding dress, so that's where the other chins went. I cannot believe how extensive that web site is, my god, it goes forever, every stupid detail of their orchestrated courtship, proposal, engagement, etc. How much ego can one person have?

I give them two years before her publicist announces the couple's regrets and stresses their deep Southern Christian roots.

Look at the picture of her. Did they airbrush out like 150lbs, or what? Where are her other chins? Okay, that's mean. But seriously, this is beyond funny. This is something someone would make up to make fun of these two. I hope when the tabloids get all in her face someday (not that the tabloids give a rats ass about Star Jones, but..), she starts complaining that she wants privacy and such.

I feel dirty.

Moving from the clown to the jester will mean moving from similar to same, from alike to identical, from comparable to analogous. Though applied differently, the colours used on one can be used on another, and a couple of changes of costume will rapidly transform the jester into a clown and the clown into a jester. Strictly speaking, they almost duplicate each other as regards clothes and function, the only difference between them, from a social point of view, is that clowns do not usually visit the palaces of kings.

Please inform me of what this is about. I now longer have cable, therefore I am unable to view "The View".

Which has caused me to become an empty shell of a human being.

This is terrifying. It gives marriage a bad name. It's the ultimate in
self-promotion and fantasy. He so is gay. Another David Getz.

Did we ever figure out if he was gay or not? Last I heard he had a few ex-boyfriends.
