Posted - 11/06/2004 : 04:53:26 I had a wicked sinus infection the day I subscribed and I couldn't think of anything wittier than my actual first name, which now kinda bugs me as I sometimes yearn for more anonymity.
Plus, all the good names are taken, damn you all! Surfer Rosa, I love you sister, but I will go my grave outraged that you picked that cool moniker first!
I thought about "Hips Like Cinderella" but it's too long and vaguely sexual. Is there a better screen name than "Ramona," I ask you? I thought about Queen of Karaoke but I didn't want people to think I was married to the King of K (then I got to know KOK and now I wouldn't mind being associated with him in people's minds). I wanted the name floop, but it, too was taken.
Now I'm thinking Heloise might be a good name to switch to.
No chance of lobbying the almightly moderators to allow me to switch names and take my posts with me, right? Right? Can't start mayhem on the forum, right?
Sigh.
Anybody else wish they could change their name here?

Posted - 12/05/2004 : 22:09:15 Let's go for a topic hat trick here.
I bet the moderators just *love* that "guess who I am" game, with the name changing and all. So when do we play?

Anyway, if I were registering now and wanted to take a fake name, I'd probably go with a play on a Frank album/song title like "God in the Sand" or "Teenager With a Beer". Definitely not "Show Me Your Tits", though.
Well, okay, I'd consider that one, too.

I think that I originally registered with a differnt name and am way too lazy of a person to dig through the formum to find it. Maybe it will be a jeapordy question one day.

Posted - 12/05/2004 : 20:36:01 No don't worry, I was just trying to be nice. It seemed like you really didn't like your name. Is there any thing YOU want to be called? So that way, you wouldn't notice your log in name as much???
I'm going to bed... have a good one i'll check back 2morrow. |

Posted - 12/05/2004 : 20:33:46 I'm so glad I didn't kill this thread. You don't have to call me anything else, there are worse things than being called by the name of an adorable 4 year old girl. I guess you could refer to me as Coco Loco or something if you're really dying to. Just as long as it doesn't involve "Dirk" or some manner of Dirkness.

Posted - 12/05/2004 : 20:28:00 Dayanara, that's not a downer. Do you have another name you want us to call you instead so we're not addressing you by someone else's name? |
dayanara |
Posted - 12/05/2004 : 19:57:35 I, like many others, want different name. Dayanara was the name of the little girl I was baby sitting when I created my account. I wasn't feeling very creative at the time, she said "name it after me!" and there you go. Plus, I had a weird stalking thing last year involving police and restraining orders and all that retardedness, so I didn't want to go with anything non-anonymous. Having people call you by someone else's name feels wacky and dishonest. I'm trying to be less paranoid.
Man, that post was a downer. Sorry guys.

Now I do as I please and lie through my teeth. Someone might get hurt but it won't be me. I should probably feel cheap but I just feel free and a little bit empty. No it isn't so hard to get close to me. There will be no arguments. We will always agree. And I will try and be kind when I ask you to leave. We will both take it easy. But if you stay too long inside my memory, I will trap you in a song tied to a melody and I will keep you there so you can't bother me. |

Then again, it seems strange that people have these on-line alias', but what's in a name? I thought about posting a picture of myself before, but I don't know how to do it 'cos I am a intranet dunce. |

Damn you and your cleverness, I thought I'd trick you with my clever rhyming slang and the continual mispornounciation of tre.
And Glacial, glad you took that particular stance there, would hate to have to do to you what I'm going to have to do to that facetious cheese-miester.
