Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone on here was at the ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead show at the new Grog Shop?
I loved it. I think they played about 4 (maybe 5) new songs. Their intro music was pretty good, then they appeared on stage and presto! Into a new one.
Perhaps the highlight was during A Perfect Teenhood; during a jam the power goes out on stage, the guitars become unplugged strumming boxes and all you can hear is the drums. So the drummer kicks in this cool drum beat that goes on and on while the crew try to fix the problem; people start chanting during it, it was great! Eventually the problem is fixed and they pick up right where they left off during the jam.
All in all a great concert; very powerful and inspiring. A good friend of mine who is unfamiliar with their music came with me to the show and enjoyed himself.
The new songs were great and seem to offer promise that their new album will be amazing.

I wasn't there. Haven't really heard much of that band..but I love that venue. Very nice place.
